It would be good to know who's interested in doing the other Summer Series events, if you plan to do some/all of the remaining Autotests please could you respond, as this will help us judge the future interest.

Summer Series - Precise Driving Test

Cheltenham Motor Club will be running a series of evening fun car events throughout the summer of 2026, including; Gymkhana “Precise Driving” and Autotests.

The first event is on Friday 24th April 2026

Arrive at 18:00 for a start at 18:30.

Gymkhana “Precise Driving”

Open to all, a Precise Driving test is all about knowing how to control your car in everyday situations, but in a fun way & not at all speed related. On paper it all seems very boring, but you'd be amazed how competitive it can get. No matter what the weather is doing there is likely to be some water involved.

There is no entry Fee, but we will be accepting donations in aid of the Butterfly Garden charity.

The Butterfly garden is an educational, therapeutic and recreational scheme, based initially on gardening, but now offering so much more. It is a project for people of all ages dealing with disablement of any kind. It caters for those looking to escape the world, those looking to re-enter it and some, who are still just looking.

March Hare Classic Trial The 4th running of the West Country based March Hare. If it ain't broke....last year every competitor that started the event finished it (John Early doesn't count as his car was dying before it got to the start!) and we finished in glorious sunshine and just about on time....but it was very dry. Christmas Cracker Driving Treasure Hunt, fun for all the family. Non-members welcome. Meet 2pm at the clubhouse. Prizes for all.

Also Walking Christmas cracker - which can be completed anytime.
If you need an excuse to get out for some fresh air over the Christmas & New Year period, We've put together another Christmas Cracker Walking Treasure Hunt. It's open to all Cheltenham Motor Club members, family & friends.
The five mile circular route is divided into two sections and has a choice of start locations.
There's an online version or an option to print out a hard copy.
It's completely free of charge, just for fun, there's no prizes.
Get your timing right to make sure the coffee huts/pubs are open...
