What a way to end our 50th anniversary season. Thanks to Sittingbourne Rugby Club for a fantastic game, two sides that play an attractive brand of running rugby. But the Sarries boys today were not going to let this chance slip.

The first five minutes saw some Sarries dog in defence as Sittingbourne started hard, then three quick tries for Sarries saw them go into the break in full control and comfortably ahead. However the second half was not great for the blood pressure. Sittingbourne came out of the blocks and with only a few minutes to go the come back looked on. A Sarries try in the last play saw the game out and these boys join a strong list of Sarries hero’s.
MOTM was a hard call with all 22 putting it out there but the coaches choice was Fred Griffin who was outstanding throughout

Congratulations to club captain Aaron Connolly, who not only leads the boys out for a massive cup final game but also celebrates his 200th 1st XV appearance. A massive achievement by a man that has always led by his performance, and let’s hope he leads them to silverware tomorrow.
