The countdown is almost over! We’re looking forward to welcoming swimmers, coaches, officials and supporters from across the country to City of Sunderland ASC’s Summer Splash 2026 this weekend at Sunderland Aquatic Centre.

Whether you’re racing, cheering from the stands or volunteering, we hope you have a fantastic weekend of fast swimming and great performances! 🌟

We can’t wait to host our annual City of Sunderland ASC Summer Splash and welcome swimmers, coaches, officials, volunteers, and families from both local and visiting clubs for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of racing!❤️

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone poolside and wish all competitors the very best of luck!🍀

📢 Officials Needed – Sunday Afternoon

We are still in need of officials throughout the weekend, especially the Sunday afternoon session. Quite simply, we can’t run the competition without your incredible support.

During this period, there may be some impact on:

• Heating
• Pool water temperature

We expect the works to take approximately 4 weeks to complete.

North East swimmers delivered an incredible weekend of performances at the Swim England North West & North East Open Water Championships at Sale Water Park 🏊‍♂️

Across all distances and age groups — from juniors to masters and para swimmers — athletes showed fantastic depth and talent, securing numerous podium finishes and standout results.

With warm conditions and water temperatures reaching 26–27°C, it was the perfect stage for a brilliant showcase of open water swimming in the region 🌊☀️

Congratulations to Chloe who raced in the Open Water NE/NW Regional championships!
She swam a fantastic 3km race to gain 3rd place in the county and in the region.
She also gained a qualifying time for Open Water National Championships this July!
