Looking to carry on our strong form with an away day to Waverton

Met during pre-season, where we started slow, then fought back into the game

Can we make it 3/3 to have our best campaign start ever ?

One of the best Axis performances I've seen. 10 men & a CB in goal against Section B title holders.

Organised, driven, communicated & worked for every minute of the game.
2 games with 10 men won... are we better with 10?

Last weeks oppo couldn't field a team, so a week off for us!
Back to it with an early game vs our adversaries.

A bit low in numbers ourselves, but high in delusional spirit

Great 26/27 campaign start
Solid all round performance, bit shaky at 2-1, but took a strong hold, after scoring a pen to make it 3-1

Keep this squad depth & who knows how far we could go... having subs is a game changer

And here we go..
Our first game of the season is vs Straw Hat (A)
Record of 1-1-3 in the last two seasons, so big turnout needed!

Good business in the transfer market and potentially our first full squad in years Craxis?

First set of fixtures for the 2026/27 season. All tough but pretty well matched games.

New signings, maybe new club legends and hopefully a bigger squad this year.....

If the season goes ahead, as the league is struggling to register itself, something they would probably fine and dock us points for ...

Axis Archives Part 3: The Axis Split (2017–2020)

2017-18
Holdi Matt begins his Axis playing career, and Jake Jones returns after a season playing elsewhere; he tries to return as an outfield player.

Campaign to forget, battered in the league most weeks.
Reached a cup final vs Custom House, who you'd think by now are the villains in our story. We had our first-ever selection committee, where we decided to change formation for the first time and change our squad, only to get turned over 4-0.
Jake wins one of the best Louis Martin awards going, another wholesome night out, season over.

2018-19
Current gaffer, Dan Piggott, takes the reigns for the first time of his seven-year dictatorship (the beginning of the end).
A few new lads, a good start to the campaign gave us a promising outlook for the season.
An abandoned game, crashed out of both cups, finished 3rd in the league, still somehow promoted.
The Louis Martin award ceases to exist.

2019-20
After an internal battle, the club splits in two. Dark times for the club's history see legends and star players leave to form their own club. New legends are formed, and Terry Riley returns.
Pre-season vs some Yanks abandoned; the opposition coach wouldn't let his players return to the field of play. Despite both sets wanting to carry on, he felt his players' safety was at risk due to being pushed over.
New kit is launched; Axis is Red.
We are then locked out of socials for a year. No idea what happened, but we sure didn't win.

Axis Archives Part 2: Our Wholesome Era (2015–2017)

All still liked each other—nights out, race days, tournaments abroad. How did it all go so wrong?

2015–16
July sees Sam Buckley named as our first assistant manager.
The final year of white shorts, as the kit switches to all blue, with our first era of merch on the way.

The season ends with the club’s first race day completed, along with a charity tournament for Erin Cross. Axis Blues win the penalty shootout in the final to lift the trophy.

2016–17
Now fully in blue, with a few new players recruited through the club’s Chester Nomads connections.

The usual antics from Jake Jones see him turn up to a game in Halloween makeup, letting in three horror goals.
A momentous occasion for the goalkeeper, who keeps his first clean sheet for Axis in the same season—1002 days on from his debut.

A Christmas night out at La Fats.
A memorable trip to Amsterdam for the club and its fans sees 25 people travel, accidentally linking the club to Holdi Matt before his signing is announced.

A YouTube channel and Snapchat series are launched… videos to follow.
The season ends with our second individual trophy, as club founder Mark Ashbrook wins Secretary of the Year.
