It is with great sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of Sarah Larner, aged just 41.

Sarah was an incredible person beautiful inside and out, with an infectious smile and a warmth that touched everyone lucky enough to know her. She had a love of learning and was always looking to improve, both on and off the pitch.

Sarah was an important part of the foundations of Chester Cheetahs during our early years. She was our primary physio, looking after so many of us, but she was also a determined and committed winger who gave everything whenever she pulled on a Cheetahs shirt.

In 2016, Sarah was part of the Chester Cheetahs team that secured promotion to the 2nd Division a special moment in our club's history and one that Sarah will forever be a part of.

But Sarah was so much more than a teammate or a physio. She was a friend, a wonderful person to be around and someone whose positivity, kindness and infectious smile will be remembered by everyone who shared those early Cheetahs years with her.

Sarah passed away peacefully at home on Sunday 26th July 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the adored wife of Kris and a devoted and loving mum to Sophie.

Our thoughts and love are with Kris, Sophie, Sarah's family and all of her friends at this incredibly difficult time.

Sarah, you played such an important part in our story and helped build the foundations of the club we have today.

You will be deeply missed, but you will never be forgotten.

Once a Cheetah, always a Cheetah. ❤️🐆
