One of the things that makes Aldersey Green special isn’t just the golf… it’s the wildlife you can encounter along the way. 💚

From our resident swans and their growing family, to the cygnets exploring the course, there’s always something to spot when you’re out on the fairways.

These fantastic photos were captured by one of our members — a great reminder that sometimes the best views on the course aren’t always down the fairway! 📸🦢

⛳ WORK HAS BEGUN ON THE 15TH GREEN! 🌱

We're excited to share that work has now started on a major redevelopment of our 15th green, with the main phase of construction getting underway from 1st October.

This is a huge project for our Greens Team and a significant financial investment in the golf course. The existing timber sleeper retaining wall will be removed and replaced with a double gabion retaining wall.

The existing bunker will also be removed, creating a more open, cleaner layout around the green while reducing future maintenance requirements.

• Improved drainage
• Cleaner, more modern appearance
• A more sustainable, lower-maintenance green complex

From 1st October, golfers will play to a temporary green while the main construction work takes place.

It's a substantial undertaking, but we're confident the finished result will transform the 15th and provide a fantastic long-term improvement to the course.

🌱 BEHIND THE SCENES: KEEPING THE GREENS HYDRATED! 💦⛳

It’s not just about mowing and cutting grass! 👀

With the dry weather we’ve experienced this year, our Greens Team have been working hard behind the scenes to keep the course in the best possible condition.

💦 So far this year, we’ve invested in over 70 new sprinkler heads across the course, helping us deliver water more effectively and efficiently where it’s needed most.

Today’s job? Installing a brand-new sprinkler head on the putting green. 🔧🌱

A lot of work goes on behind the scenes that you might not always see, but it all helps us keep Aldersey Green looking and playing its best. 👏

Huge credit to our Greens Team for all their hard work, especially during these challenging dry conditions! 💚

🚭 TEMPORARY NO SMOKING NOTICE 🔥

With the current very dry conditions, we have taken the decision to temporarily prohibit smoking anywhere on the golf course.

The course and surrounding areas are extremely dry, and a discarded cigarette could quickly create a serious fire risk.

We appreciate this may be an inconvenience for some, but the safety of our members, visitors, staff and the course has to come first.

Please help us protect Aldersey Green and do not smoke anywhere on the course until further notice.
