🦢 They’re growing up fast! 🦢

Our cygnets are getting bigger by the week and are now almost as large as the adults! 😍

They might not quite have the bright white feathers of their parents yet — they’re still sporting their lovely grey plumage — but they certainly aren’t little anymore!

It won’t be long before they’re looking like fully grown swans, but for now we’re enjoying watching them grow up around the course. ❤️

Just another little bit of wildlife that makes Aldersey Green special. 🌿🦢⛳

🌿 Learning the ropes… or should that be learning the hedges? 😆

There’s always something new to learn when you’re part of the greens team!

This week, Harri has been getting some hands-on training with the hedge cutter, learning how to use it safely and effectively.

Passing on skills and knowledge is an important part of the job, and there’s no better way to learn than getting stuck in.

We think Harri is looking pretty professional already! 👏🌳

🍂 Autumn has definitely arrived at Aldersey Green! ❤️🌳

One of our trees is putting on a spectacular display, turning the most beautiful shade of red as the seasons change.

There’s something pretty special about seeing the course transform through the year — from fresh spring greens to the golden and fiery colours of autumn.

If you’re out on the course this week, take a moment to look around… you never know what little flashes of colour you might spot! 🍁⛳

🤖 Even the robots need a little TLC! 🌱

It’s not just the grass that needs looking after — our machinery does too!

This week, the greens team have been carrying out maintenance on our robot mowers, making sure they’re in good health and ready to keep doing their bit around the course.

There’s plenty of work that goes on behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, and keeping the machinery maintained is a big part of it.

A little service now means fewer headaches later! 🔧🤖

🏆 A little something to show off… ⛳

Last Sunday, following our Texas Scramble, we had the presentation of our special Aldersey Green board competition bag tags.

These aren't your everyday bag tags… these are reserved for those who have won a board competition at Aldersey Green. 🏆

A proper little piece of golfing bragging rights that can be proudly displayed on your bag for everyone to see! 😉

We love seeing these make their way onto members' bags — a great reminder of a competition won and an achievement to be proud of.

Congratulations to all our recent winners! 👏

Who wouldn't want one of these hanging from their golf bag? 😍

🤖⛳ Even the robot has a job to do!

Our little robot mower has been busy keeping the chipping area looking tidy. 🌱

Just a quick reminder while we’re here… this area is for chipping ONTO the green, not for chipping OFF the green. 😉

Please use the designated chipping area to practise your short game and help us keep the surrounding areas in good condition.

The robot is doing its bit to keep things looking neat — so let’s all do ours too! 🤖🌿

🌱 A little feed for our greens! 🌱

You might have spotted the tractor out on the course spraying our greens. 🚜⛳

This is an application of organic feed, helping to give the grass the nutrients it needs to stay healthy, strong and playing well as we head further into autumn.

So, what does it actually do?

🌿 Encourages healthy growth – providing essential nutrients to support the grass plant.

💚 Helps maintain strong, healthy turf – particularly important as the seasons change and temperatures and daylight start to drop.

⛳ Supports good putting surfaces – healthy grass means better recovery from wear and helps us maintain consistent greens.

🌱 Feeds the plant, not just the colour – the aim isn't simply to make the greens look green, but to support the overall health and resilience of the turf.

Our greens get plenty of attention behind the scenes, and sometimes that means a tractor making its way across the course rather than a mower! 😉

So next time you see the sprayer out, you'll know there's a little bit of greenkeeping magic going on. 🚜🌱

🍂⛳ SEE YOU IN SPRING, SUMMER MEMBERS! 💚

As September comes to an end, 30th September marks the end of the summer season for our Summer Only Members.

It’s always a little sad to say goodbye, but don’t worry — it’s not really goodbye! 👋

🏌️ You’re still very welcome to come and play throughout the winter at our member guest rates, so you don’t have to stay away until spring.

☕ And even if you’re not playing, pop in and see us for a coffee. We’d love to see you!

Thank you for being part of the Aldersey Green family over the summer. We hope you’ve enjoyed plenty of golf, good company and hopefully a few sunny days along the way! 🌞

See you back on the course in spring! 🌱⛳💚
