Starting your dance journey the CCDA Classical program introduces the younger dancers to the core dance genres of ballet, tap and modern theatre. Whilst the CCDA Urban Chorus program combines Acrobatic skills with Urban Dance. Classes are supplemented by workshop days, summer schools, competitive dance festivals, performance groups. ACHIEVEMENT:
We firmly believe in your success, and offer as many opportunities as possible to advance your dreams and enjoy your dance. We offer ISTD examinations in Ballet, Tap Jazz and Modern Theatre dance, as well as in house grading opportunities for all other genres. CCDA young leaders have the opportunity to develop this national qualification as we are an accredited Sports leaders qualifications centre. PERFORMANCES:
The highlight of the performing year, all pupils have the opportunity to perform in the annual Summer Show. Dancing, singing and acting in a professional theatre with costuming, lighting, staging, rehearsals and a big enthusiastic audience. All CCDA pupils also love the annual presentation of awards day, which is the chance to celebrate progress with their family and perform in a low key show. Other opportunities include local pantomimes, fashion shows, many charitable events, pop videos, local fetes and community fundraising. Some notable performances have been at Painswick Wearable Art Festival, the Royal International Air Tattoo Fairford, Her Majesties theatre London and Sadlers Wells London. Opportunities are also available internationally with Disneyland Paris performance being a firm favourite. PROGRESSION:
We regularly support pupils who wish to take their dance skills to nation level, and have achieved Royal Ballet Associates, as well as the Urdang Academy,Italia Conti and Laines Theatre Arts School Associates. Past Alumni have gone onto many of the top vocational schools. We offer audition coaching and further targeted progression. Online coaching is also available to those in UK and worldwide. All abilities benefit from the guidance of our highly qualified and experienced teachers. This is supplemented by industry guest teachers and former pupils who are now professionals, working internationally, who help to stimulate and encourage, enabling your skills and knowledge to develop at your own pace. CCDA Alumni have obtained places at the top professional vocational colleges and are currently working in the performance industry in the UK and internationally. The show is a charity event with all proceeds going to Heart Research UK and HEART UK two charities that are extremely close & poignant to our CCDA principal & teacher.
Our students have been working hard to make the best possible show of dancing & singing. Culminating the work they have been doing all year. You will be entertained by all styles of dance such as; ballet, tap, hiphop, street, jazz, musical theatre, contemporary and so much more!
The show features some of your favourite classics such as Little Red riding hood, Dracula ….to some very unexpected tv show tales!!
Audiences of all ages will love it and there is something for everyone. So bring your friends, families, neighbours and supporters.

3 of our CCDA junior students performed & represented CCDA yesterday at Powell's Primary school fete. Essie her lyrical solo, Olivia her ballet and Alba her brand new song & dance solo. It was really special for the girls as they performed in front of their school teachers & friends. Proud of these little superstars in the making. All great experiences for them all. 💃🫶🏻

A late post from a couple of weeks ago (half term) when Oliver competed at All England Regional finals with his Tap solo. So proud of him for getting through in his graduating year. What a journey this guy has been on and talent he is. He has qualified before but it made it more special for his last (official) year. We hope he keeps dancing 🕺
