.91 recently enjoyed a demanding but rewarding week in Europe with his pal Perrin. After the usual wild goose chase around many lakes, rivers and canals the guys found some carp on a large expanse of water. The last few days of the trip ended up being hectic with plenty of carp caught. The lads used big spreads of Royal Marine with double 24mm hard hookers, proper Euro dog tactics! Well done guys - IT-WORKS.

takes up the story of events that lead to him banking the biggest carp in the lake at just over 43lb.
"The session started with a lovely mid-20 common from a different peg, which was a cracking fish. After that, things went quiet, so I stayed up late watching and listening for signs of fish elsewhere. Eventually, I heard them showing a fair way away and didn’t hesitate, packed down and made the move.
In the early hours, I saw the big ’un show, so moved again and put myself right on her. I went in with a light spread of 12mm Atlantic Heat boilies, then placed a rod over the top with a 12mm Secret Squirrel hookbait.
The next morning, the rod absolutely melted off with a screamer of a take. After an epic battle, she was finally in the net, a big common known as Swirly. Moments like this are exactly why we do it. The late nights, the listening, the moving, the graft, and trusting your gut when it matters"
Well done Josh, great angling mate!

SUNDAY BLESSING - The Bishop Harris
Now if you’ve listened to our Podcast you’ll know that we have a section called “The Panthers Sermon” that involves our resident Bishop, Tim Harris reading a passage from various carpy bibles, if you guess the passage, you win a baitworks prize.
Well I took the opportunity to pop into Tim’s congregation today, I’ve been having a lean spell so asked him to bless my rod (take that as you will) as I needed a change of fishy fortune. You could say my arrival was timed to perfection as Bishop Harris already had one in the net.
We took the opportunity to get a catch shot to help all our listeners put a face to a name. Not only did we snap a few shots, Tim took the opportunity to do a public blessing, aligned to tales of Tel’s bible - In Pursuit of the Largest.
We hope the weekends been full off big carp. In the name of our father, our Lord Tel, Sir Bazil and Mary. Amen 🙏
Ps - This is the real deal, no Ai trash!

had to change his plans recently, with the carp spawning on his Northants syndicate a decision was made to fish an old local haunt of his. Despite travelling all the way back it was worth the effort when this lovely carp graced his net, a fish called The Torpedo common for obvious reasons. Jay used a simple bottom bait set up over arond 100 freebies. Well done Jay. IT-WORKS.

A recent chat with .fareham regarding bait choices and was soon ordering a fresh batch of Heat and CreAmino and some C-stim before heading to swan lakes. The next message we got was news that he’d caught the biggest resident known as circle scale at a top weight of 46lb. That’s what we like to see, customers putting faith in our products and catch reports flooding the inbox. Well done Alex, great bit of angling fella. IT-works.

Everything was going wrong. We all get those trips from time to time I guess but I just kept telling myself that maybe the old carp gods might pay be back for all the litter picking I’ve done over the years, or all the elderly folk I’ve helped cross the road. Either way at this stage during my disastrous session I was trying to keep myself motivated to just hang it out for a few more hours. Fate, fortune, luck, I have no idea what decided to pay me back but it did in style with one of the best commons I’ve had the pleasure of holding. CreAmino snowman with a little yellow HAULER pop up as usual. ESP lead clips, Tungsten tube and my usual slip D rig completed the trap. That’s the best bit about angling, you just never know what might happen next.

has been amongst them again this spring. Having spotted three good fish including this one patrolling a margin on the way back to his car he was soon making up a little mix of hemp/EDGE pellets/crumbed boilies and some EDGE liquid so that it was sticky enough to flick three small balls like groundbait down the shelf. The fish went straight down on it!
Jamie flicked a few quartered boillies in to push them off and followed it up with a hookbait. He had the bite 30 mins later with everything except the rods and net on the barrow. Jamie signed off by saying - “I was delighted it was this one that picked up the bait and was one hell of a scrap and was only slightly late for work as a result”
A 38lb 4oz zip linear is a wonderful carp to kick start the weekend. IT-works.

Podcast Drop 🎙️
It’s great to be back recording this month’s podcast. Me and Mark haven’t crossed paths much over the last four weeks for various reasons but as always we soon start discussing plenty of relevant topics that may just help put an extra carp or two on the bank. This time round we cover ammonia spikes in lakes, the cycle of dissolved oxygen and how this relates to bite times, rancid bait and how this can completely ruin a spot plus our usual dose of life’s trials and tribulations.
Then we have the much loved Panthers sermon back as Tim’s global “In Pursuit of the Largest” pilgrimage comes to an end before we roll into our guest chapter. This month it’s Mr Big Carp Buzz himself, Louis Bernthal aka Berny or berny_tighlines on insta. Now Berney is someone that lives and breathes his fishing, however due to family commitments his angling time is extremely limited. Despite him struggling to find time to wet a line he’s always on hand to congratulate his mates on captures without an ounce of jealousy. His buzz for carp fishing is infectious and when he does get to wet a line, let’s just say he makes the most of every single minute of his slice of freedom. Berny is also partial to living like a shipwreck survivor in pursuit of big, wild carp and his never give up attitude is an asset that has driven him to extremes to ensure his public lake dreams become reality. Enjoy.

Finding a dinner plate sized spot amongst dense w**d resulted in a string of big uns for the boss. Regular baiting with CreAmino and Heat into holes in the w**d had them ripping up the bottom over the course of a few days. Fishing was up close and personal and we’d often watch a big un waddle down the margins, excited by the food signals before it would disappear into the w**dy hole before all hell broke loose. Snowmen set ups with HAULER toppers once again producing the goods. IT-works.

has been using our bait since he was being fed from the bottle. Rumours have it that his daily dose of CreAmino dip gave him the protein he needed to build his guns and sculpture his body into a mature man! Since his early days Joe’s caught loads of lovely carp on our bait and this is another one added to his album recently. Good angling Joe, keep up the good work mate. IT-works.
