💙 WHAT A DAY. THANK YOU! 💙

We’re not quite sure where to start, except with a huge thank you.

Today we welcomed an unprecedented number of runners to the Dedham Run, and despite the slightly dodgy weather at times, the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic.

To every single person who took part, whether you ran the 3K, 10K Road or 10K Trail, thank you for coming and being part of it. Seeing so many people out on the course, from serious runners chasing times to families and children simply enjoying the day, is exactly what the Dedham Run is all about.

A massive thank you also goes to our volunteers and marshals. Events like this simply cannot happen without people giving up their time to stand on roads, direct runners, hand out water, help with registration, set up, clear away and deal with the hundred and one jobs that happen behind the scenes. With record numbers this year, you were incredible.

And to our sponsors, thank you for backing the event and helping us make it happen. We are incredibly lucky to have the support of so many brilliant local businesses and organisations.

Finally, thank you to everyone who came along to support, cheer, eat, drink, buy a raffle ticket or just soak up the atmosphere. Seeing the Duchy Field so busy was pretty special.

There are undoubtedly things we can learn from managing such a big increase in numbers, but today we’re mostly feeling incredibly proud and grateful.

Over 900 runners. One slightly soggy Dedham. And a fantastic day. 💙

☀️ RISE AND SHINE... IT’S DEDHAM RUN DAY! 🏃💚

Good luck to everyone joining us today for the 3K, 10K Road and 10K Trail. We can’t wait to see you!
Haven’t signed up yet? On-the-day registration is still available, so it’s not too late to join us! Please also bring your family and friends as there is lots on at the field during and after the 3 running events.

We have bouncy castles, BBQ, refreshments, some cool cars from Lookers Volvo, fun activities for pre-school children from Thrive Nature Adventures and plenty more!

With its historic setting, welcoming atmosphere and seasonal food, The Sun Inn is a much-loved part of village life - and a rather tempting place to celebrate after the run!

If you’re a Strava user, you can now load up our new 10K Trail route ahead of the run tomorrow!

(The route does include a lap of the football field at the end before the finish line but the GPS gods weren’t a fan of including this part!)
