This weekend at Lexden

We were incredibly proud to host the Essex Junior County Closed 2026 here at Lexden Rackets & Fitness Club this weekend.

From the Under 9s right through to the Under 19s, our courts were buzzing all day with brilliant matches.
One of the best things to see was the atmosphere around the club between matches. Juniors supporting their friends and making the most of every opportunity to play.
A huge thank you to for bringing the County Closed to Lexden, to everyone involved in organising and running the competition and to all the parents for the countless hours, journeys and encouragement that go into supporting junior sport.

And finally, a massive well done to every single junior who stepped onto court. It was a pleasure having you all at Lexden and we loved seeing the club so full of energy.
We’re sure there were also a few tired legs heading home!

🍊 ORANGE IS THE NEW… CHAMPIONS! 🏆

Well… almost! 😂 What an amazing night to finish off our Summer Fun Leagues! Loads of laughs, brilliant matches, great team spirit and plenty of fun from start to finish.

After all the matches, Team Orange finished on top by just TWO points — 462 to 460!

But there was one final twist…

The One Point Shootout had a whopping 150 bonus points up for grabs — and Joel’s Purple Team only went and won it! 💜

So after a whole summer of battling it out, Team Purple swooped in at the very end and took the overall Summer Fun League title! 🏆💜

Absolutely brilliant night and such a fun way to finish the summer. Huge thank you to everyone who played and got involved.

Orange had the glory… Purple stole the crown! 😂💜🏆
