Well done to the Hawkey boys, twin brothers Lucca and Rocco from Colchester Amateur Boxing Club who boxed yesterday on the Smokeys Boxingclub show.
They both faced very good lads from the reknowned Repton boys club.
Rocco set a good pace from the off, mixing up front foot pressure, with boxing skill. He had to fight hard for it but secured the win via split decision.
Lucca started with the same determination. His pressure became a little scrappy at times, with his opponent shaping up a little better. This was such a close contest, but the decision went the other way this time. Your time will come Lucca.
Well done boys 🥊🥊💥

Well done to Frankie, Denis, and Hendrix for passing their Standard CABC Boxing Award at Colchester Amateur Boxing Club this week.
A top bunch of lads who over the past few weeks, have not only improved their boxing skills, but also their fitness, their focus and their discipline.
A sport like boxing gives kids an outlet to burn off excess energy and to improve their mental health. The parents of the young people who attend our sessions all say it helps their kids learn respect, improves their focus and behaviour at school and gives them a whole new social circle. It really is amazing watching kids go from shy and nervous little things with almost no fitness levels or skills, to confident, determind and strong young people who will do whatever it takes to reach their goals.
Blessed to be coaching this sport and to be part of a fantastic club 🥊🥊💥 👌

Another fantastic performance last week from Colchester Amateur Boxing Club schoolgirl prospect Sasha.
Sasha boxed a skills contest against good boxer from West Herts ABC showing some real class and refined boxing skill. Her boxing pedigree is clear to see, and with her proud dad and brother (themselves accomplished boxers for Colchester) looking on, she seems set to aim for the top.
Well done Sahsa, nothing but class 🥊🥊💥 👌

Well done to this team, Edward, Charlie, Jack, Noah, Arthur, Michael and McKenzie for all passing their preliminary CABC Boxing Award at Colchester Amateur Boxing Club last week.
Well done lads 🥊🥊💥
Our awards scheme is the perfect pathway into competitive boxing for young people. Our tuition and ratio of qualified coaches to boxers is second to none. We have years of experience in teaching the skills required in a controlled environment. We excel in helping youngsters forge the physical and mental resilliance required to compete in one of the toughest sports there is.
If competitive boxing isn't part of your plan, then that's OK. We still welcome young people who want to benefit from everything boxing has to offer, and the list is extensive. No sport, instills fitness, focus and discipline quite like boxing.
Give us a message if you think amateur boxing could be the right choice for your child.

Well done to Colchester Amateur Boxing Club boxer Natasha for making her amateur boxing debut on Thursday in a skills contest on the Marvels Lane home show.
Natasha boxed a good girl from the host club who was determined to impress in front of her home crowd. Natasha boxed really well showing off her movement and defences. She was a little reserved with her punches, probably holding back a little too much, even though it is a skills bout and boxers are expected to use their skills over brute force.
However, this was a great debut for Natasha and she has shown real bravery getting in the ring, and a great skills set for a debut boxer. She has a great future ahead of her in the sport.
Well done Natasha 🥊🥊💥

Well done to Colchester Amateur Boxing Club member Chany who took to the ring twice last weekend.
He boxed a tough and skillful opponent from 3 Para on Friday night. He dropped the decision on a 4-1 split, landing the heavier shots but just not quite busy enough to convince all the judges.
On Sunday he boxed a former opponent on his home show, who once again came to make a statement. Chany boxed brilliant in the opening round, controlling the range with his jab and then landing power punches if his opponent did close the range. The second round was closer, with some great work coming from both boxers. The third round seen Chany fade and not post a convincing enough round to swing the decision. Annoyingly this one goes against us on another 4-1 split.
Well done Chany, we go again soon, to end of an incredible season. 🥊🥊💥

So we're a week on from the outstanding England Boxing National Schools finals event, and we want to day a massive congratulations and well done to Colchester Amateur Boxing Club boxer Harry, for winning his way to the semi-finals and again losing out only to the eventual overall winner, securing himself another bronze medal.
Well done Harry, we don't see anything like this as a setback, just another opportunity to learn. He's been boxing the best boxers his weight and age we can find and will continue to do so. His attitude towards his development is exceptional and he has a great future in the sport.
Well done Harry 🥊🥊💥

All the best to schoolboy prospect and absolute legend, Harry as he contests the national schools finals this weekend for the second year running.
He's had an amazing season so far, boxing and beating the best kids around and a couple of great performances this weekend would be the icing on the cake. He's got good opponents in his category, but his preparation has been excellent and one thing is sure, he always leaves it all in the ring.
You got this Harry!! Were all behind you mate, your time to shine. 🥊🥊💥
