🎾 Cringleford Finals Day! 🎾

A massive well done to everyone who took part in this year’s Summer KO Tournament! 👏

And a special well done to everyone who played today. The morning started off pretty wet, but thankfully the weather brightened up this afternoon and we managed to get some great tennis played! ☀️🎾

🏆 Men’s Singles - Will Foster won vs Paul Henery

🏆 Ladies’ Doubles - Sarah Syed & Léa Denley won vs Amanda Bailey & Alison Gilmour

🏆 Mixed Doubles - Léa Denley & Alex Goodall won vs Amy Fung & James Brabben

🏆 Men’s Singles Plate - James Daley won vs Jamie Austin-Mills

🏆 Men’s Doubles Plate - Paul Henery & Adam Depledge won vs Rob Atkinson & Stuart Murray

There are still a few events to be completed, with the Men’s Doubles, Over 60s Round Robin and Mixed Doubles Plate all being played on a different date.

Another good Walking Tennis session today!

Walking Tennis Session open to all! First session Free! £4 thereafter for non-members.

Walking Tennis is for anyone that wants to play tennis, but at their own pace. No running or jumping and you can let the ball bounce twice. Less speed but just as much fun! Ideal for anybody looking to build their confidence, returning from injury, or would just like a bit more time getting to the ball.

🎾 Davis Cup 🇬🇧🇫🇷🇧🇪🇭🇷

Our David Cup style team tennis tournament took place on Sunday 19 July with teams representing four countries - Great Britain, France, Croatia and Belgium battling it out for the Jane Bellinger Trophy.

With three rounds played it was a close run thing between France and Belgium with the resulting play off round seeing the France team comprising Chris Hardwick, Stephen Davies, Martin Hendry and Rosanna Scott winning by a small margin. A

very enjoyable afternoon for everyone involved. Thanks go to Chris Mitchell for organising!

🎾🍓 Waitrose Cup 🍓🎾

Members enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of tennis, tea, and great company on Sunday, with strawberries and cream kindly provided by Waitrose.

Congratulations to Mandy & Angus, who were crowned this year’s champions after a great match against Nicki & Rob.

A huge thank you to Holly for organising such a wonderful event, and to all the members who took part and made the afternoon so enjoyable. We look forward to next year’s Waitrose Cup! 👏🎾
