Women’s Head Coach Needed 🏉
Derby Rugby Football Club are seeking a passionate and driven Women’s Head Coach to lead and develop our senior women’s squad. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing section, working with a committed group of players and helping shape the future of women’s rugby at the club.

The role will involve leading structured training sessions, supporting player development, and creating a positive, inclusive environment where players are both challenged and supported. You will play a key role in building team culture, setting standards, and helping drive the squad forward both on and off the pitch.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a good understanding of the game, and a passion for developing women’s rugby. Previous coaching experience is preferred, along with a relevant coaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.

If you are committed, motivated, and ready to make an impact within a supportive and ambitious club environment, we would love to hear from you.

🏁 RESULT 🏁

A brilliant performance from the Bucks this Sunday morning giving us our biggest win of the season, racing into a 3 try lead within the first 20 minutes on rock hard ground against always tough opponents. The Bucks fought hard at the breakdown and backed each other up well, giving us a great platform going forward. Credit to Casuals for fighting back in the second half and making it a one score game with an hour played - and as always for a hard battle of a match.

Massive shout to Bucks' outside centre Matt Delaney. In the space of 24 hours, he's played 80 minutes of rugby and completed the Derby 10k in 55 mins 💪

A feat of endurance that your friendly social media admin could only dream of. Top work Matt, you've done the Bucks proud 🦌

🏁 RESULT 🏁

It's hard to describe what happened yesterday. Despite what has happened in Edinburgh, Dublin and Paris over the last week, I think we can say this was by far and away the most entertaining rugby match during the month of March. It was a game played in fantastic spirit, with a BaaBaas mentality on both sides - including the Ref missing a conversion which ultimately cost the Bucks a win 👀

It wasn't just us however, Matlock Women's Rugby
played out a top class match against Looseheadz Women (who also had Amelia, Izzy and Charlie of Derby Women’s Rugby representing them). Matlock eventually went down 12-55 but put in a great effort, with both teams also spending a combined 110 minutes in the ice baths post match!

A special shout out to Gareth Akibo-Betts, who only attended his first Bucks training session on Friday night but still managed to score a try against us for Looseheadz! A top effort on his debut 💪

It was a brilliant day all round. A massive thank you to LooseHeadz for coming down and providing stiff opposition, all whilst raising £447 for charity (link in below if you want to donate).
