🍁 Autumn may be on its way, but it’s not the end of our junior sessions just yet; we still have two more Saturdays to go. Don’t forget that the 31st is also our end-of-year party, when we extend the fun into the evening to celebrate all of our sailors’ achievements and what a year it has been.

🎖 There have been so many certificates presented, from Stage 1 to Performance Sailing, AI’s to DI’s, Race Coaches to Advanced DI’s; our juniors, youth sailors and volunteer instructors have been busy.

🏆 Whether you have ventured into a boat for the first time, mastered spinnakers, or been hanging off the trapeze line, belting down the lake, it has been a pleasure to watch your progress. And, of course, we can’t forget our sailors who have spread their sails to join club, regional and national racing; we’ve watched your achievements and medal haul grow and celebrated with you.

Congratulations to our Swarkestone Juniors who took part in Saturday's Derbyshire Youth Sailing event at Swarkestone Sailing Club.

There were many medals, and personal achievements gained, in some tricky, light winds.

They all did our club proud, well done to you all.

We just can't get enough of junior sailing here at Swarkestone.

Having just completed our very successful two weeks of Junior & Squad fun, we're ready to do it all again on Saturday 5th September, just for one day this time though.

Registration is now open. As always, it's first come, first served. Will we be seeing your sailor there?

Registration for our next Junior Day on Saturday 11th July is now open.

An ideal time to try out Junior Days before our annual Junior & Squad weeks in August.

Don't leave registration to late, as this one is usually very popular.

Calling all Junior Sailors - do you fancy learning how to sail?

Our next Juniors Day on the 27th June and is now open for booking. All sailors under 18 yrs old are welcome.

Junior Days are a great introduction for our Junior & Squad Weeks in August.

Whilst the wind was light during this Saturdays Juniors our instructor team used the opportunity to run a Swim Safe Session.

After learning about cold water shock, where and when you should enter water, what to do if you find yourself in a situation and much more, we were proud to present 20 Swim Safe Certificates.

Our next Juniors Day is just around the corner (16th May) and registration is now open.

Open to new and more experienced sailors (under the age of 18) it's a fun day to learn new skills.

The sky is blue, the swallows are back - spring is here and so is juniors.

It's spring already, and the start of our Junior sailing calendar with Juniors 1 on the 28th March.

Unfortunately, due to the time of year and water temperature, Juniors 1 is only open to those sailors who have stage 2 and above. Don't worry if you are not at this stage yet - the warm weather is on its way, along with Juniors 2.
