It’s always hugely valuable for us to receive feedback from the groups that visit us at St. George’s Park. Hearing directly from staff and students helps us continue to refine, develop, and enhance the learning experiences we deliver.

Towards the end of last year, we were delighted to welcome Wyke Sixth Form College, who travelled down from the North East for an immersive performance and education day at St. George’s Park. It was fantastic to hear how much they enjoyed the experience, and even better to learn that the students took so much away from the day, both practically and academically 📈📚.

During their visit, students completed a full performance profiling experience, including:
💪 Gym-based testing, assessing Countermovement Jumps (CMJs) and hamstring strength using VALD technology
🏃‍♂️Pitch-based speed and agility testing, linking physical outputs to on-field performance
❄️♨️ A hydrotherapy recovery session, exposing students to best-practice recovery strategies used in elite sport

For Wyke Sixth Form College, the day was specifically tailored to support their CTEC Level 3 National Sport students. We pride ourselves on adapting each visit to suit the needs, curriculum requirements, and learning level of every institution, whether further education, higher education, or academy programmes.

A milestone week at St. George’s Park 💪⚽️

For the first time, we’ve had three female athletes supported in a single week on the Rehab Scheme at St. George’s Park, a superb reflection of how rehab provision and performance support for the women’s game continues to grow.

It was great to welcome two teammates from Durham Women, and also reunite two former teammates from Everton, creating a positive, supportive environment throughout the week. Seeing players connect, support one another, and push forward in their rehab journeys made it a standout week all round.

It’s always a privilege to support PFA members through their rehabilitation as we help athletes navigate challenging periods with high-quality care, collaboration, and intent at every stage of the process.

We were delighted to work with Ollie Harfield from this week as part of the Rehabilitation Scheme at St. George's Park.

Ollie has been progressing through rehabilitation following a cruciate ligament injury and, after multiple surgeries over the past year, is making excellent strides in his recovery. His visit allowed us to review key aspects of his rehabilitation, reinforce movement quality, and ensure he continues to progress in a structured and sustainable manner.

Throughout his time with us, Ollie demonstrated a high level of professionalism, commitment, and drive, essential qualities during a long and demanding rehabilitation process. His approach has been a key factor in the positive progress he continues to make.

We would like to thank Ollie for his trust and application throughout the process, and extend our thanks to the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) for their continued support of players through the rehabilitation scheme.

We look forward to welcoming Ollie back in the near future for a further touchpoint as he continues on his road to recovery.

We’re proud to have provided Performance Support Services to the for the past 7 years, building a strong and collaborative partnership focused on athlete development.

As we look ahead to the upcoming academic year, it’s been great to recently welcome their team of High Performance Athletes to St. George's Park for the first of three profiling visits planned for this year. These sessions are a key part of our ongoing work, helping to inform and refine individual development strategies.

Alongside this, the 1-to-1 Strength & Conditioning sessions with the University’s scholarship athletes are already well underway, ensuring each athlete receives tailored support as they prepare for the demands of their sport and studies.

We’re excited about what the year ahead holds and look forward to continuing to support the University of Staffordshire and its athletes. If you're interested in how we can support scholar athletes get in touch at [email protected]

Last week we welcomed to St. George's Park’s Park for an Education Experience Day with their Level 6 Sports Therapy students. 🙌

The cohort got stuck into a full, hands-on schedule, including:
🏋️‍♂️ Performance profiling in the gym
⚽ On-pitch profiling to connect rehab to real-world sport demands
🧠 Gym-based rehab case study to sharpen clinical decision-making
🩺 A Physio carousel covering: MSK assessment exposure and Intensive & extensive pre-activation for pitch sessions.
🌊 Hydrotherapy recovery for the full performance picture.

Days like these are all about bridging the gap between classroom learning and applied performance environments, and the students brought great energy, curiosity, and professionalism throughout.

A big thank you to Birmingham City University for the kind feedback. We’re already looking forward to welcoming you back! 👏

Recently we've worked with a PFA member on the PFA rehabilitation scheme for the second time following his proximal hamstring reconstruction.

Following analysis of comprehensive testing results, we were able to design a bespoke rehabilitation programme which focussed on the following areas, and he's making great progress:

1. Building end range isometric strength and capacity during a long lever hamstring bridge.
2. Challenging hamstring isometric strength through ranges of lateral trunk flexion.
3. Re-training functional movement patters for high-speed running.

It’s been a real pleasure working with from through the PFA rehab Scheme at St. George’s Park throughout her rehab journey 💪⚽️

We’re proud to support Zara with elite-level rehabilitation in a world-class environment, and even prouder of the progress she’s making week by week 📈🔥

Massive credit to Zara for the intent, consistency, and professionalism she’s brought to every stage of the process 👏

It was a great opportunity for us to work with The Football Association's medical team in collaborating on Zara’s care. It’s also encouraging to see the continued growth in rehab provision and performance support for female players. Long may these developments continue!🤝
