5 tries on the board yesterday! 🔥🏉

👏 Carmel Teager with an outstanding double, alongside Ellie Pole, Katie Bindon and Harriet Kelly all getting over the line!

An outstanding effort from the girls, putting their bodies on the line, battling for every ball and competing for each other from start to finish. The commitment, fight and togetherness on show was brilliant to see. 🖤💛

Tough day out there for Derby today.

Not the result we wanted, but we’ll take the learnings, regroup and go again. Proud of what the ladies left on the pitch today. 💛🖤

It’s the first game of the season and we’re SO READY so run out against Bournville Rugby Women at home on Sunday.

Fresh legs, new coaches, and a brand new strategy 👀 It’s going to be an epic showdown as we’ve read Bournville have hiked up their pre-season training too. Let’s see who’s going to hold their form and who’s going to melt 🍫 🥲

Bring your loudest cheers.
See you Sunday!

Welcome to Derby Women’s Rugby Elliot!
Elliot got his official welcome to the team at last night’s social and we think he’s fitting right in.

Here’s to the 2026/2027 season 🍻

And that, ladies and gentlemen, theys and g**s, is why it’s important to tell your new players the rules of the game.

A try still awarded to Mia for the high tackle that was deemed ‘try obscuring’, but an absolutely hilarious start to the season for our new player, Mia Turner.

Looking forward to seeing what future games might bring 👀

What women’s rugby is all about 👏

Two teams, (essentially) the same colours, and a whole lot of love for the game.

It was a pleasure to host Ashbourne (Derbyshire) RUFC Womens this weekend as we kicked off the 2026/2027 season with a friendly at home. We’re in different leagues but we came to the pitch as equals on Sunday and both teams put on a huge graft - demonstrating incredible resilience, drive, and discipline.

To end the game with a team(s) photo was the icing on the cake. A pleasure as always Ashbourne! Here’s wishing you all the best for this season 🍻
