Derby Hockey Club

We are looking for women’s goalkeepers to join us at Derby Hockey Club! With 4 established teams and a growing womens side, we would love to see you inbetween the posts for either your first or your 100th time! Whether you’re new or experienced, get in contact and we’ll have you kitted up and involved as soon as possible!

Over the last two weeks we’ve seen our mixed squad attend Ashfield Aztecs’ and Bloxwich HC’s mixed tournaments. We’ve seen some great results and sounds like they’ve had a great time doing it despite the scorching heat!

And part 2 from our EOS dinner awards sees the men’s winners as we finally say goodbye to the 25/26 season. Well done once again to all the winners!

The other week we saw the club gather for the end of season dinner in which all our captains gave out their prestigious awards. So here are the winners from our ladies section! Well done to everyone who won! (We couldn’t fit all the men’s and women’s awards into one post, so we split them as there were that many!)

Last weekend our mixed squad headed to York for the May Bash Mixed 7s Tournament at the City of York Hockey Club. Whilst our team did sadly not win overall, they put up some top performances with 2 wins a couple of close cut losses! More importantly, they scored some fantastic team goals and had a great time doing it! Well done guys, fantastic work from you all!

Men’s hockey coach wanted! Derby Hockey Club and University of Derby Men’s Hockey are looking to sign and involve a new men’s hockey coach into a hybrid coaching role for both DHC’s men’s side and UOD’s men’s team! With two weekly training sessions and competitive games, we are looking for an enthusiastic hockey coach who is up for the challenge of coaching our players and guiding them to become even better at hockey! We are looking for more women’s hockey players for next season and the summer! Whether you’ve never even picked up a stick, or are wanting a change of club, get in touch and we’d love to get you involved!

After a fantastic year of hockey with lots of goals and wins, we wanted to top the year off and look at our final stats for the season before we celebrate our official end of season awards in 2 months. Some great numbers on display here as we shine a light on our top game changers this season. So a huge well done to anyone who’s name makes an appearance here, and a big well done and thank you to anyone who’s played a part in the club’s season this year! To end the season off, here are (most of*) the final squads of this season in their final few games. With a total of 22 game weeks and roughly 170 games played, we want to applaud everyone who has played this season, whether it’s every single week, or just the one off game, we couldn’t be happier with everyone’s performances and efforts this year! We’ve seen mixed results, and we will release the final stats soon, but everyone should be super happy with their efforts and we hope you enjoy your well earned break! 💙

28th March ‘26 Results - Week Twenty Two

And we have made it to the end of the 25/26 season, where we see 3 wins and a draw to send us off and finalise our places in the tables. Our ladies 3s saw themselves keep a clean sheet and a goal, whilst our men’s 4s saw an end to end battle finishing 4-3! But the obvious game to mention is our men’s 2s triumph over Burton with an incredible 10-0 win!

But more importantly though we have to say a huge congratulations to all our players this season and a massive thank you to everyone who has helped on and off the pitch! Whether that’s been playing, umpiring or helping with the club house, we can’t thank you all enough. Now you can all have that long awaited break and we hope to see you all soon… 🐎💙🤍
