What will people say? , like those from which our Muslim neighbours come, prioritize the needs, goals, and harmony of the group over individual desires. Thus, in big decisions the phrase “what will people say?” is very meaningful. This is especially so in making any counter-cultural decisions, like in matters of faith.
Our latest blog post is an interesting article by an MBB (Muslim Background Believer) on how we need to bear this in mind and seek to have a greater understanding of people whose culture is collectivist and be patient with them.

We pray for Muslim mothers with more children at home during the school holidays. May they find strength as they persevere in caring for the young.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
