I had no clue one decision would change the entire direction of my life.
I started in the gym when I was 15.
Iād always been a sporty kid, played every sport possible in school, and then football and cricket outside of school for numerous different teams, so fitness was always at the forefront of my life.
Once I started going to a gym, I found it gave me more direction and more of a purpose; the need to eat right, recover correctly and get up day in day out and get the sessions done was a positive force. I started doing the āBro splitā and have since tried numerous splits but the main thing that mattered at the start was just doing the basic movements with correct form and tempo. I still believe to now thatās the best way to build a solid base physique. No fancy exercises like you see online.
The only time Iāve ever had a break was during 2020 for obvious reasons. Other than that training has been 4-5 days a week for roughly 8 years.
Iāve done this alongside my first ever job (binman), football training twice a week and playing on a Saturday afternoon, always making time to get a workout done.
Fast forward to 2022 and this was when I started training to become a Personal Trainer, and passed my L2 Fitness Instructor and L3 Personal Trainer courses.
Now four years on and Iām a fully self employed PT and Online Coach. My job is to try and help as many people possible transform their lives not just their physiques. What I see the most in my clients is the transformations in their confidence; their bodies change, they get stronger, fitter, leaner, all the things that brought them to me in the first place, but the biggest gain, and the most unexpected every time, is the boost to their confidence and self esteem. Itās the best part of my job, and the best gain someone can gift themselves, and it comes from that discipline, consistency and investment in themselves.
