It was great to be part of Belmont Parish Hall 20yr birthday celebrations on Sat. Wonderful community event with real community spirit. We even got the Vicar, Mayor and Mayoress to join in with the House of Bamboo 💃

Sharing my little achievement. Took a little longer than anticipated, as life sometimes gets in the way, but I’m happy to say I am now a qualified Level 2 Group Trainer in exercise to music. 🎶 💃

Our balance songs are crucial, because of the music's rhythmic flow this enhances coordination, stability, and strength. This is especially important as we age, as it helps to prevent and reduce the effects of osteoarthritis.

Dance-Fit With Ruth is more than just a dance class; we are a vibrant social community that enjoys meeting after our class for a friendly chat and a cup of tea. Over the last five months, my Belmont ladies have been meeting monthly for their Dance-Fit social. I've been providing refreshments and homemade treats, while the ladies have generously donated their tea money to charity. 🥰
The Birtley ladies have also contributed by making a charity donation in memory of their beloved friend, Linda Hogg. Together, we have successfully raised £125 for Macmillan Cancer Support. 💕
In 2025, my amazing community of ladies has supported three deserving charities Breast Cancer Now, Little Princess Trust (thanks to Susan’s hair cut) and Macmillan Cancer support. In total they have raised £1015.
