George Becton Trophy - runners arrive back
08/08/2026
George Becton Trophy - Another brilliant evening on Thursday, brilliantly facilitated by our super band of volunteers, thank you to all across both weeks, we couldn’t do this without you.
The handicap is always an interesting event and even though the scratch event is a Club Championship event, many of you seem to find a bit more in the handicap and shave a bit more time off. Great running by everyone and a super close finish for the Trophy win.
The first 5 eligible for the Trophy were covered by just 5 seconds with most others not far behind. A big well done to the finish line team for keeping track of the mayhem.
First over the line was Oliver Wallis while close in second and third were Sarah Muir-Timmins and Mike Bishop. Oliver is the George Becton Trophy winner for 2026 and follows in Dad Mike’s footsteps by winning the Trophy - Colin Fletcher, Easingwold Running Club Chair Easingwold Running Club
