DJEMBOREE 2026… WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! 🥁🔥❤️
Fantastic.
Incredible.
Amazing.
Unforgettable.
Honestly… there are not enough words to describe the energy!
The moment everyone started drumming together, you could feel the energy right through you. 🥁🔥
For Grześ and Kasia, this weekend was also so much more than an amazing drumming experience.
It was a really valuable part of our personal and professional development.
As musicians and teachers, we believe that learning should never stop.
We love teaching, but we also love being students.
Learning new rhythms.
Being challenged.
Trying something unfamiliar.
Making mistakes.
Listening to experienced teachers.
Practising.
Improving.
All of these experiences help us grow, both personally and professionally, and ultimately make us better teachers for our own students.
And this time we had an amazing student Simon with us!🥁
It was so lovely to have one of our students there with us, sharing the experience, learning alongside us and being part of this amazing community.
This is what we love about music.
You can come together as teachers, students, beginners and experienced musicians, and everyone has something to learn and something to contribute.
A huge THANK YOU to the incredible teachers:
🥁 Iya Sako
🥁 Billy Konate
🥁 Sidiki Dembele
🥁 Malo Sonko
🥁 Justine snd her amazing team
Thank you for your knowledge, generosity, passion and energy and for creating such a fantastic event!
West African drumming really has a special kind of magic.
One rhythm becomes two.
Two become ten.
Ten become hundreds.
And suddenly everyone is connected through sound. 🥁✨
You don’t just hear the rhythm.
You FEEL it.
We came home inspired, energised and full of new ideas.
And yes… still hearing rhythms in our heads! 😂🥁
Thank you Djemboree 2026.
What a weekend!
❤️🥁

🥁🔥 DRUMMING CLASS… WOW!

What a vibe! ❤️

Our beginners were absolutely ON FIRE 🔥

And our intermediate students were AMAZING on the Dundun drums!

There is something so special about watching a group of people with different levels of experience come together and create one rhythm.

Some people are learning their very first patterns.

Others are developing more complex rhythms and playing the dundun with confidence and power.

But everyone contributes.

And that’s what makes group drumming so special. 🥁

You don’t need to be an experienced musician.

You don’t need to read music.

You don’t need to think you have „good rhythm”.

You just need to listen, have a go and enjoy the process.

Because rhythm teaches us so much more than music.

✨ Listening
✨ Concentration
✨ Coordination
✨ Confidence
✨ Creativity
✨ Teamwork
✨ Connection

And perhaps most importantly…

JOY! ❤️

The beginners brought incredible enthusiasm.

The intermediate players brought skill and energy.

And together we created something that none of us could have created alone.

That’s why we LOVE drumming! 🥁🔥

If you’ve ever thought, „I’d love to try drumming, but I’m not musical enough”…

Come and give it a go.

You might surprise yourself. 😉

🥁 We LOVE drumming… but not just because it sounds amazing.

Every beat tells a story.

Every rhythm brings people closer together.

In our drumming classes, we’re not just learning music.

✨ We’re building confidence.
✨ We’re improving concentration.
✨ We’re learning to listen.
✨ We’re working as a team.
✨ We’re creating a space where everyone belongs.

One of the most beautiful things about drumming is that you don’t need experience.

You don’t need to read music.

You don’t need to be „musical”.

You simply need to show up and be willing to join the rhythm.

Whether we’re working with children, families, schools or businesses, we see the same transformation every time.

Smiles get bigger.

People relax.

Confidence grows.

Strangers become teammates.

Rhythm has an incredible way of bringing people together, and that’s exactly why we love sharing it.

Have you ever taken part in a drumming class? We’d love to hear about your experience! 🥁❤️

Back to school isn’t just about pencils and school bags... 🎒✨

It’s also time to think about your child’s ABCs of Movement!

💥 A = Agility
⚖️ B = Balance
🤸 C = Coordination

These are the foundation for every sport, playground game and active adventure.

When children develop these skills, they become:
🌟 More confident.
🌟 Better coordinated.
🌟 More active.
🌟 More resilient.
🌟 Ready to enjoy movement for life.

That’s why Capoeira is so special.

Every class combines movement, music, rhythm, games and teamwork in a way that keeps children smiling while they develop essential physical skills.

No pressure.
No competition.
Just learning through play, creativity and community.

As the new school year approaches, it’s the perfect time to give your child an activity they’ll genuinely look forward to every week.

✨ We only have a few final spaces remaining in our children’s classes.

Visit our website to apply and come discover why so many families fall in love with Capoeira.

❤️ Tag another parent who’s looking for an after-school activity!

Exciting news from Axé Boom Boom

We're so excited to be working with Brian on the next chapter of our journey as we develop a brand-new look and website for Axé Boom Boom!

Over the past five years, our social enterprise has grown so much. What started with a passion for sharing Capoeira and Djembe drumming has become a mission to help children, families, communities and businesses move more, connect more and thrive through Afro-Brazilian arts.

Now it's time for our branding to reflect who we are today and where we're heading.

We can't wait to share the journey with you and reveal the new website in the coming months!

A huge thank you to Brian for believing in our vision and helping us tell our story in a way that truly reflects the heart of Axé Boom Boom. 💛🥁

Move. Connect. Thrive.

I am excited to be working with Grześ and Kasia Wypiorczyk from Axé Boom Boom to deliver their new branding and website.

There mission is simple. To help children and adults stay active for life through Capoeira, Djembe drumming and team-building experiences that inspire body, mind and community.

Move. Connect. Thrive

🎭🥁 What a day!
Yesterday was one of those days we’ll be smiling about for a long time.
Kasia had the joy of dancing through Edinburgh with at the Carnival Parade while Grześ was helping behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.
The music.
The costumes.
The drums.
The dancing.
The smiles.
The atmosphere was incredible! 💛
But our day wasn’t over...
Straight after the carnival, we headed to teach our weekly Djembe drumming class.
Yes... Kasia even kept her Amazon-inspired carnival make-up! 😂🌿
Our drummers definitely got a little extra carnival magic.
Moments like this remind us why we love what we do.
Afro-Brazilian arts aren’t just performances.
They’re about bringing people together.
Building confidence.
Creating friendships.
Moving our bodies.
Celebrating culture.
And filling life with joy.
Thank you to everyone who shared the day with us, from the parade to our wonderful drumming community.
Here’s to many more days full of rhythm, movement and connection! 🥁💛

🥁 “I felt incredibly energised afterwards!” 💛
That’s the message we received after one of our drumming classes...
“I loved it! I’ve been raving about it to all my friends. I really enjoyed it, everyone was so welcoming and I felt incredibly energised afterwards. Thank you! I will definitely be back.”
Honestly...
Messages like this make our day.
People often think drumming is just about learning rhythms.
It’s so much more.
🥁 It’s laughing with new people.
🥁 It’s moving without even noticing.
🥁 It’s switching off from everyday stress.
🥁 It’s building confidence.
🥁 It’s being part of something bigger.
No experience.
No pressure.
Just music, rhythm and community.
And the best bit?
Everyone is welcome.
If you’ve been thinking about trying something different, we’d love to welcome you too.
Come and discover why so many people leave our classes smiling... and feeling incredibly energised.
💛🥁
