What an incredible djembe workshop! 🪘🔥🙌

A huge thank you to Mohamed Gueye for sharing his rhythms, energy and knowledge with us, and to Sue and African Beats for organising such a fantastic experience.

The energy in the room was amazing! Our Drumming Hands students were so excited, completely absorbed in the rhythms and absolutely loved every minute of it. ❤️🪘

And the best part? They’re still buzzing from it! 🙌🙌🙌

This is what drumming is all about — learning, connecting, sharing energy and making music together. ❤️🌍🥁

More of this please! 🔥

🥁✨ Always learning. Always listening. ✨🥁

I’m currently spending time at some amazing drumming workshops, learning from the incredible Djembe teacher Sekouba Oulare

Even after many years of playing and teaching Djembe, there is always something new to discover.

A different rhythm.
A different way of listening.
A different way of feeling the drum.

Being a student again is incredibly inspiring.

Sekouba’s knowledge, energy and way of teaching have given me lots of new ideas and reminded me why I love Djembe so much in the first place. ❤️🥁

I’m taking it all in, learning, experimenting and enjoying every beat.

And I can’t wait to bring some of this inspiration back into my own teaching and workshops with DrummingHands & Boom Boom!

The learning never stops. 🙏🏽🥁
