Your Personal Training Gym in Edinburgh's West End

Ladies who lift ๐ช๐ผ Well done Caroline on smashing your first session, welcomed by other strong GOTS Women๐๏ธโโ๏ธ
We love to see it. We encourage it. And the more women we see doing it, the more women realise they can do it too.
Every strong woman inspires another. Representation matters.
Every woman in this photo strength trains 1-3 times per week. And you can too!
Outdated fitness marketing may have made many women believe that lifting weights was only for certain people or specific stereotypes.
It isnโt.
Strength training is important for all of us - for our bones, our muscles, our confidence and our independence (particularly as we age.)
This is exactly why Small Group Personal Training works so well.
Weโve created a welcoming, non-intimidating environment in Edinburgh city centre Edinburgh's West End where you receive personalised coaching while training alongside like-minded people of different ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Itโs a combination that has helped so many self-proclaimed โnon-gym peopleโ become people who now strength train consistently one, two or three times every week.
And a huge part of that is the warm welcome.
Thank you to all our Coaches and members who make GOTS such a great place to be, and for making newcomers feel so comfortable from the moment they walk through the door.
That welcome can be the difference between someone never coming back.. or returning week after week and discovering the ripple effect that feeling stronger and fitter can have on every part of life outside the gym.
The many friend, family and colleague referrals is proof we must be doing something right ๐ฉท
Thankyou Maria Savage for inviting Caroline to give GOTS a go!
CHEERS to an enjoyable social life AND prioritising your health and fitness. ๐ฅ๐ช - yes you can do both! Our team and members do!
If youโre someone who has always struggled to stick to a consistent fitness routine - perhaps itโs because you go for an all or nothing approach which is unsustainable?
Our team and members enjoy visiting the many great restaurants and bars in and city centre - they are a sociable bunch who like to experience everything Edinburgh has to offer while consistently making their health and strength a priority.
The goal isnโt to put life on hold to get fitter. Itโs to build a lifestyle where strength training has a place alongside the people, places and experiences you love.
Thatโs one of the biggest benefits of Small Group Personal Training.
Your sessions are already booked into your diary and you have a Coach expecting you, a small group of familiar faces training alongside you, and the accountability, support and encouragement that make it much easier to keep showing up.
A healthy lifestyle isnโt about avoiding every social occasion or striving for perfection. Itโs about finding a balance you can maintain.๐๏ธ๐ช๐ผ

They both compliment eachother.
Too many of us in Edinburgh spend hours hunched over a desk everyday without strength training at all, moving enough in general, or ever stretching.
Then aches, pains and niggles become the norm. Donโt let these escalate into a bigger problem.
Moving well is just as important as getting stronger. The two really do go hand in hand!
If you need help with either - our team would be happy to support.
Book a trial session via our website. We would love to welcome you to a strength session and a stretch session.
You can also contact us for any Corporate Wellbeing enquiries.

โIโm not a gym person.โ
โIโve never done anything like this before.โ
These are two phrases we hear all the time when someone comes along for their first Small Group PT session at Gym on the Square.
More often than not, that person has been referred by someone they trust - a friend, partner, child, parent, grandparent or colleague - who once said exactly the same thing.
There is real power in combining personalised support with a small group of like-minded people.
Fast forward a few months, thanks to Small Group PT in our private strength studio, theyโre strength training 1-3 times per week because for the first time ever they found an environment where they felt comfortable, supported and Coached every step of the way.
Strength training is one of the most important things all of us can do to maintain muscle, protect our bones, improve balance, and help us stay active and independent as we age.
Today, member Christine brought her sister Anne along for a session. Afterwards, Anne said sheโd never done anything like it before - and absolutely loved it.
If you think youโre โnot a gym personโ , have struggled to stick to a consistent fitness routine or want to get back into it after a long break away - Our team of Coaches and community of members are ready to warmly welcome you - And they all know what it feels like to be new! ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ๐ช๐ผ

Welcoming Micheala Noonan ! ๐ช๐ผ- A British Army Combat Medic โ๏ธ๐ช๐ผwho has served since the age of 16.
Micheala was introduced to us by her boss (GOTS member Heidi Mac )and weโve benefited ever since from her ongoing support during Small Group PT sessions, at events, and delivering first aid, health & safety and defibrillator refresher training for Team GOTS to ensure the team are up to date with current practice and can keep members safe!
Combining years of military experience with a genuine passion for strength, endurance and an active lifestyle, Micheala already lives and breathes the values weโre all about - and itโs no surprise sheโs quickly become a much-loved part of our community.

Ladies who Lift! ๐ช๐ผ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
Valued member Emma May Rose (she/her) won our GOTS Games recently - our annual fitness event which puts all hard work in Small Group PT sessions to the test, with lots of lifting, laughing, fitness fun for all! ๐๐ผ ๐
Emma joined Gym on the Square after moving to Edinburgh from America and already lived an active lifestyle with regular Pilates, Yoga and Spin! ๐งโโ๏ธ ๐ดโโ๏ธ
But she wanted to add Strength Training into her routine.
Pilates, yoga and spin are fantastic for mobility, flexibility, cardio fitness and wellbeing - but they donโt provide the progressive resistance needed to build and maintain muscle, increase bone density and develop the strength we all need for everyday life - now and in future. ๐ช๐ผ
For women especially, strength training becomes increasingly important as we get older.
Building muscle and stronger bones now is one of the best investments you can make for your future health, confidence and independence.
Emma has shown up consistently to sessions, and with Coaching support, trusting the process and training in an environment she clicked with, she has consistently made Strength Training part of her weekly routine and achieved great success along the way! Including her recent GOTS Games win!
Well done Emma! Enjoy your Fox & Co. Caterers prize! ๐ ๐ช
Ladies - follow in Emmaโs footsteps and get lifting! ๐๐ผ ๐ช๐ผ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
