WOMEN’S PLAYERS OF THE MATCH 🏆

BACK OF THE MATCH - AISLING

Aisling put her body on the line at fullback, shutting down anything that came her way and making some great runs from the back. Finding the space, spotting the gaps and calling for the ball, she was a constant threat throughout. A brilliant performance from start to finish.

FORWARD OF THE MATCH - DEMI

Strong carries all afternoon from Demi, who was always looking for the ball and ready to take it forward. She took on some big hits, made plenty of carries and consistently gained ground for the team.

OPPOSITION PLAYER OF THE MATCH - LOUISE

Our captain doing what she does best: stepping up when it matters. After making an appearance at the club event, she backed it up with another outstanding performance the following day. Strong carries, great communication and plenty of positive energy throughout.

Three well deserved awards after a brilliant team performance! 👏

A Sunday game after a Saturday night celebrating 125 years of Lismore… and the ladies still turned up and put in a shift. 👊

Up against Howe of Fife, currently top of the league, the ladies knew they had a tough one. With a few players stepping into unfamiliar positions, the team kept things simple, played some really good rugby and stuck together throughout.

No other team has managed to put more than 5 points past Howe so far this season, but Lismore put 22 on the board and took home a try bonus point in a 31–22 defeat.

The team worked hard, communicated well and kept fighting right until the game had to be called off just after 60 minutes following a neck injury to one of our players. Wishing her a speedy recovery ❤️

A lot to be proud of from the ladies, especially after a big weekend for the club. This team is really showing that they belong in this league.

More again this Sunday👀

WOMEN’S PLAYERS OF THE MATCH 🏆
vs Gragemouth RFC - 19 Sept 2026

BACK OF THE MATCH — Nichole

A standout performance from Nichole at scrum half. She was calm and composed throughout, making smart decisions, listening for the calls around her and keeping things ticking on the pitch. A real leader in the middle of it all, with some excellent tackles and great defensive work to match.

FORWARD OF THE MATCH — Maddy

Maddy was a force in contact, putting in some big carries and making plenty of metres for the team. She was involved all over the pitch, putting her hand up for tackle after tackle and consistently getting through the work wherever she was needed.

OPPOSITION PLAYER OF THE MATCH — Ruth

Our vice captain had another huge game, finishing with four tries while covering two different positions. Starting at 8 before moving out to outside centre, Ruth adapted brilliantly and showed exactly why she can be relied on wherever she’s needed.

Three well deserved awards after another big team win! 👏

MXV PLAYER OF THE MATCH 🏆

George Grime takes Player of the Match against Duns!

A big presence across the pitch, George was involved at both ends of the game with some powerful carries and a strong defensive display. He also kept the team lifted throughout, constantly backing up those around him and pushing everyone to keep working.

Well deserved George! 👏

WEEKEND RESULTS 🏉

MXV | The men travelled to Duns for their latest league fixture, coming away with a 75–10 result. Not the one we were looking for, but we move on, get back to work and look ahead to the next one.

WXV | The women were back at Inch Park for their second home game of the season against Grangemouth, taking a 41–19 win and another bonus point. A really evenly matched game, but the ladies came out on top with another fantastic result at home.
