Meadows City Tennis Club

🎾 Our club social tennis sessions run throughout the winter, however, a couple of weekends ago saw a wrap on our@eostennis league play for 2025.

🎾 Photos 1-7 are from our two Summer Mixed League teams going back to summer days in July-August; 8 is a reminder of what the courts were like then with a downpour postponing one match; and 9-12 are a few from our Winter Cup team.

🎾 All teams had solid mid-table results this year. Very big thanks to all members who played and to the captains.

Half the 16 Meadows tennis courts are now fully resurfaced and re-painted - great to get a social session on the new courts last week though always hard to get photos as everyone is busy playing! Thanks to for progressing the works.

What a fantastic tennis league season it’s been!Here are the final standings for the Men’s and Women’s team leagues:

👏 A big congratulations to both of our women’s teams—Team 1 held strong in Division 1, and Team 2 finished solidly in Division 5. Great effort all around!

🌧 Despite some tough weather conditions, our Men’s Team 1 managed to play their final match last week and secured their place in Division 4. Meanwhile, Men’s Teams 2 and 3 gave it their all each week but will be moving down from Divisions 5 and 6, respectively.

A huge thank you to all our players who showed up and committed each week over the ten weeks. We hope everyone enjoyed some friendly yet competitive doubles tennis! 🙌🏻

Now it’s time for a well-earned rest, until next season, let’s recharge and come back stronger! 💪🏻

Very nice to have former club president Christian Williams drop by the Wednesday social tennis session for a hit. Now based in 🇨🇦 since 2010 - as the second club president Christian really drove the club forward in the early days and helped - along with so many others over the years since 2003 - make the club what it is today.

🎾 East of Scotland Tennis Doubles League Season 2025 is Underway!🎾

We’re back on court and fired up for another exciting league season! Our Meadows Tennis Club has two women’s teams and three men’s teams competing.

Women’s Teams:

Team 1 – Division 1 (currently 5th)
Team 2 – Division 5 (currently 3rd)

Men’s Teams:

Team 1 – Division 4 (currently 4th)
Team 2 – Division 5 (currently 4th)
Team 3 – Division 6 (currently 6th)

Our 4 social tennis sessions per week are the core of our offer as a club, alongside opportunities to play in regional doubles leagues - plus tournaments and events that we organise during the year.

First match of the season for our Women’s Team 1 in Division 1! A tough 1-12 loss, but with close games and high spirits all around, it was a strong start. 💪🏻 Plus, what a beautiful evening for tennis! Plenty of positives to build on and this is just the beginning of the league season! 🙌🏻

**Meadows Ladies Team Building Event**
While it may not be International Women’s Day, it’s time for our Meadows Tennis Club’s women’s team building event!

With the East of Scotland leagues just around the corner, our ladies teams are gearing up! If you plan to play in our competitive league teams—Team 1 in Division 1 and Team 2 in Division 5—join us this Saturday, April 12th, 2025, from 4pm to 6pm.

Even Kermit the Frog says “It’s going to be a ribbiting good time!”
