Aerial Sound Bath | Saturday 31st October, 2.30β4pm | Edinburgh
As October draws to a close, take some time to slow down, settle into a hammock and immerse yourself in a gentle sound journey.
In this workshop, you are gently guided into the hammocks. To begin, I offer optional gentle stretches from a seated position, as we are accompanied by the first sounds of the session. From there, you'll settle into lying down, supported and held by the fabric, for a full hour of immersive sound.
As you rest, KOA will guide the journey with her voice, Tibetan singing bowls, crystal bowls, and various other instruments, weaving together layers of sound, resonance and silence. There's nothing you need to do or achieve in this time. Simply get comfortable, close your eyes if you wish, and allow yourself to be carried along by the changing sounds around you.
The hammock offers a gentle sense of support, making this a lovely opportunity to pause, let go of the week's activity and spend some time resting and releasing. We also offer cushions, blankets and eye masks to ensure you are feeling cosy and safe.
No experience is needed, and there's very little movement involved beyond the optional gentle seated stretches at the beginning. The workshop is suitable for most, requiring just the ability to come into the hammock, with support and help on hand if needed.
The Crags Centre is wheelchair accessible, but hammock-based sessions are not.
