🐴 WEEKEND GROOM WANTED 🐴

We’re looking for a reliable, experienced and caring weekend groom to join our team, as one of our current weekend grooms is heading off to university.

The role will include general yard duties such as mucking out, feeding, turning out/bringing in, and keeping the yard clean and tidy, as well as helping with the general day-to-day care of the horses.

We’re looking for someone who is confident handling horses, hardworking, reliable and able to work independently. Common sense, initiative and good communication are a must — being able to communicate with the team and speak up if you’re unsure about something is really important to us.

Weekday availability would be a bonus for occasional extra hours when needed.

Themba is a 14 year old bay Connemara gelding, he’s 15hh, and the most wonderful horse you will ever meet. Quite rightly he has stolen the hearts of everyone he has met, whether it’s his dentist a sharer or a passerby. I unfortunately have to move out of Scotland for at least a year or more due to a family emergency, and for his happiness and well being I’ve decided to put Themba on full loan instead of moving him.

A bit about him! He has no vices, is extremely friendly and cuddly, and very funny he has a massive sense of humour. He’s great to hack, he loves to jump, but not too high, a bit of dressage here and there, he really is a chilled all rounder. He can be cheeky, but if you give him love he will love his work with you and give you his all. I’ve had him for 8 years and he has taught me so so much.

He is easy to box and do anything.(I’m being serious he doesn’t need sedation for the dentist the vet clipping or anything he’s the most chilled guy ever (I have been told by people before that he gives the aura of a surfer dude do with that what you will😂)
