We often have people approach us after watching our performances, wanting to be part of them. But what happens on stage is only a small part of the journey.

Behind every performance are countless rehearsals, weekends sacrificed, plans missed, and a commitment to one shared vision.

And most importantly, there is our Ahalya family — students who give their all, and parents who provide incredible support to make every rehearsal possible.

We are truly grateful for this family that believes in our vision and helps us bring it to life. ❤️

What you see on stage is the dedication of an entire family behind it.

A little glimpse into the magic behind Samarpana 2026 😍

Our makeup workshop gave our young performers — especially the first timers, a chance to experience the excitement of stage preparation and feel confident for the big day ahead.

At Ahalya, every child is nurtured with care, love, and guidance ❤️. A heartfelt thank you to all our parents for being such an important part of this journey with us.

A small attempt from our dancers to recreate Nindha Sthuthi that has been taking over Instagram 😍

Navigating Indian classical dance in the UK brings a completely different dynamic. Unlike in India, where dance is often a deeply rooted lifestyle, life here moves fast, and classical dance often gets categorized as just another weekly activity to fit into a small time slot.

As teachers who grew up with rigorous training, we’ll be honest, it can be tough to feel like we are doing full justice to the depth of this art form when there is so little time. It is hard to bridge that gap when hours are limited. Yet, we still push ourselves to pass down as much authenticity as we possibly can in the short time we have. It’s a constant balancing act, but it makes us genuinely happy when people notice and appreciate the heart and effort we put into Ahalya ❤️

With such limited time together each week, we hardly ever find time for reels! But this was a spontaneous, fun moment right after practice that everyone decided to jump into 😄. As we continue our preparations for Samarpana 2026, moments like these remind us of the joy of simply dancing together, wherever we are ❤️
