Last minute reshuffle for the weather!

I'm sure you are all well aware by now but our outdoor taster is being switched to tomorrow 1-4pm instead of Sunday.

The details for how to get there are in the tasters GC. We will bring all the gear but feel free to bring your own also if you have. If you don't have shoes please wear some sturdy trainers you don't mind getting a bit dirty.

Don't worry if you can't come tomorrow we'll be doing plenty more informal outdoor sessions this month!!

First Napier Climbing Club x QMU Climbing and Adventure Society event of the year!🥳🥳

We are combining our two societies expertise to train up new members in all the skills needed for basic rope climbing. Come along to meet everyone and practice your belaying and have some nice food.

We will be handling the BBQ but we ask everyone brings their own food and drinks.

For the Napier lot:
Next Wednesday is also our first dropkicks social of the year!

We have a table booked from 10pm so we'll probably meet somewhere for drinks before hand, look out in the groupchat for more info on our movements.

Rocco is ordering everyone and their nan to go to Three Sisters for our pub quiz next Thursday!

Get tickets by clicking the all our events link in our bio or going to the ENSA website!

Entry is free and there will be prizes, also it'll be a great chance to get to know everyone before our bouldering taster on the 18th!

It will be at The 3 Sisters Bar Edinburgh (139 cowgate, EH1 1JS).

Our tasters are up on native now guys!

For all of our tasters don't worry if you are a complete beginner we will be there to show you the ropes. 🧗

First of on the 18th we have an indoor bouldering taster at The Climbing Hangar Edinburgh, booking on native should allow you to get the discounted entry but also worth noting that if it's your first time at climbing hanger you can sign up to climb for free.

On the 27th we're going outdoor climbing at blackford quarry, which is about 40 mins on a bus from merchiston.

Finally on the 30th we have our top rope taster at alien rock, this is also free if you sign up on native.

Please get a ticket on native even for the free tasters as we can only supervise a limited number of climbers❤️

With memberships live and Freshers fair tomorrow we just wanted to clarify what you get from a membership with the Napier climbing club and some of the kinds of memberships we offer.

If you aren't sure if climbing society is for you we will be running taster sessions throughout September so stay tuned for updates on those.

Also remember to come to the welcome fair tomorrow at the corn exchange to say hi and ask any questions you might have. We'll be there from 10-3 if you want to chat about climbing or anything really, or have any questions.

He has also taken on the role as treasurer as no one else in the society can count.

NCC Lake district trip 2026!!

And that's a wrap on this year of the club guys well done everyone!
The trip was really fun despite some slightly damp weather. We still managed to get in swimming, hiking, some good scrambles and a big (indoor) climbing sesh.
Special thanks to our drivers Will, Bassam and Keira for making the trip possible and especially to Jess our president for planning like everything!

This has been such a fun year at the club so thanks to everyone who showed up to any of our tasters, regular sessions, trips and socials, you guys are the goats!
