Equestrians events venue owned, managed & run by the Trim family. Grass arenas also used during the Summer.

Floodlight surface and warm up and large grass derby ring, pavilion providing lunches and snacks and large permanent show stables. An equestrian venue holding affiliated and unaffiliated Showjumping, Unaffiliated Dressage, Arena Eventing, Clinics etc all year on all weather floodlit arena.

🏆 Sunday 21st February – CHAMPIONSHIP DAY!

And get ready for another winter of exciting Arena Eventing action at Dorset Showground! 🌟

🏇 HOW DOES IT WORK?

The event combines show jumping and cross country into one exciting course, with competitors jumping show jumps before heading straight on to a mixture of portable and fixed cross-country fences.

Classes will run from 60cm – 110cm and it’s all about the Optimum Time! ⏱️ Your final result is based on your jumping penalties PLUS your time in relation to the Optimum Time.

For every commenced second you are over OR under the time limit, you incur 0.4 penalties, you need to jump clear and get as close to the Optimum Time as possible! 🎯

🏆 THE SERIES POINTS

At each qualifying event, competitors can collect valuable championship points based on their placing:

🥇 1st – 6 points
🥈 2nd – 5 points
🥉 3rd – 4 points and down to 6th place...

Points are class-height specific, so points earned at 70cm count towards the 70cm Championship, points at 80cm count towards the 80cm Championship, and so on.

Your points build throughout the series — so every placing counts! 👀🔥

🏆 CHAMPIONSHIP DAY – SUNDAY 21ST FEBRUARY

The Championship will take place on Sunday 21st February, with the Class Champions and overall series winners decided.

🏆 Championship prizes and rosettes will be awarded, with our full prize package and sponsors to be announced very soon!

There will also be a Dorset Showground Arena Eventing Champion, based on the highest accumulated points across the qualifying events and Championship.

🐴 A few important reminders:

• Horses and ponies must be 5 years old or older
• Riders must be at least in the year of their 10th birthday
• Horses may compete in a maximum of 2 classes
• Correct riding attire, current-standard riding hat and body protector are compulsory
• Stopwatches are not permitted

🌟 QUALIFIER CLASSES 🌟

Our 60cm, 70cm, 80cm & 90cm classes will also be qualifiers for the Hickstead Sunshine Tour, with the first four eligible competitors qualifying.

Please check the Sunshine Tour rules regarding eligibility, previous winnings and amateur status, and register your qualification within the required timeframe.
