π Volunteer Spotlight β National Volunteer Week π
Meet Donnie, whose journey with our walking football sessions is a brilliant example of the power of community π
Donnie first joined us as a carer, supporting one of our participants. It didnβt take long for him to become part of the group, enjoying the friendly competition and welcoming atmosphere.
Wanting to stay involved, Donnie kept coming along even outside of his role and now volunteers regularly, giving his time to support others and help create the same positive experience he first enjoyed. π
Walking football is a fun, low-impact way to boost both physical and mental health, bringing people together and building great friendships, often finished off with a well-earned tea and biscuit! βπͺ
Thank you, Donnie, for everything you do! Your commitment makes a real difference to our community π
