This time of the year lots of clubs will be advertising their new players ( we’re hopeful to share that part soon enough) but this “ signing “ could prove to be a fantastic piece of business 🤣

Kerry Thomas is now part of the management team taking on the necessary player administration along with the match day admin that’s required. This will help the coaches to focus solely on player development and will inevitably make the coaching experience that little bit sharper.

We really can’t wait to begin !! 🖤💛

Good evening we’re delighted to share that we will begin to offer training for 15-18 year old girls starting on FRIDAY 10th July at GALA PARC. Please do come and see how your potential ladies journey could look.

This training schedule is intended to help player development, we want to develop young players as part of a long term commitment to improving their game so they can become players who can graduate into higher levels and sustain it! We don’t want to see young athletes crash out of football.

Any questions please feel free to reach out 🖤💛

Happy Fathers Day !! 🖤💛
Porthleven Ladies wish to celebrate all the people who have the role as “ father “ within their family unit. Father figures can appear in differing ways but it’s so important that young children particularly have stable role models. If you’re having a positive impact on a child’s life whether you’re a parent, school teacher, coach or indeed a neighbour !! We Thank you, enjoy your special day in the spotlight 🖤💛

An unplanned trip to Biscovey today for their annual Ladies tournament. We had the opportunity to participate on Tuesday and were able to field a competitive squad despite 11 players not being available, it was short notice so no hard feelings girls 🤣

Today the squad met premiership opponents and two teams from regional league football! Porthleven ladies didn’t look out of place against much higher level opposition and the only goal conceded was in the semi finals against St. Agnes losing 1-0.

Group A :

Biscovey v Porthleven 0-1 ⚽️
Porthleven v Newquay 0-0
St. Agnes v Porthleven 0-0
Porthleven v Kilkhampton 0-0
Porthleven v Saltash Dev 1-0⚽️
Falmouth v Porthleven 0-3 ⚽️⚽️⚽️

Semi-finals
St. Agnes v Porthleven 1-0
Congratulations to St. Agnes for progressing to the final.

St .Agnes beating Newquay 2-1 in the final, our only loss was to the tournament winners! Congratulations to St. Agnes on their success today 👏 🏆

This was never planned to be a part of our pre season schedule but yet again Biscovey have provided a great tournament and we certainly plan on being there next summer.

Last night the club hosted its end of season presentation awards where all the senior teams come together, celebrate and recognise those that have contributed so much to the clubs growth over the past 12 months. On the back of a very successful first season as a reformed ladies team it was lovely for the girls to be recognised amongst their male counterparts 👏.

ACE award winner ( Attitude, commitment and Effort ) was Rose Tonks. Rose has made significant contributions both training attendance and her commitment to both home and away matches. She’s a quiet member of the squad but is extremely committed to her role as a central defender.

Most Improved player: Edie Round, Edie is our teams most energetic and hard working player. She’s understood that her technical game needs to match her work ethic and has made significant progress on her technical development. Edie really does care about this squad and indeed the club

Young Player of year: Lacey Johnson, this was Lacey’s first season in adult football. I’ve worked with Lacey in youth football and always felt she was best suited to wingback position. Lacey has cemented her place as a formidable left back who not only enjoys the tackle but loves to push forward and create attacking phases of play.

Chairman’s Player : Georgia Luscombe, Georgia has returned to football after a long lay off. She bravely reconnected with a squad and we’re all so happy she chose Porthleven to come back into football. Georgia has been able to introduce others to our club and has supported training and has played in central midfield with real intelligence. Understanding what she’s capable of doing.

Managers Player: Beth Thomas, Beth joined us 3 matches in and we’re all in complete agreement that her timing was perfect. Beth has a wealth of football experience having played for Leicester Ladies. Beth is a strong player with a calming influence on the young players around her. Everybody really does gravitate to her, our groups mother hen.

Top goal scorer : Beth Po***ck, Beth joined us October time and she’s made a massive impact on this team. Her frightening pace makes her a defenders nightmare and on our home pitch there’s space to exploit!! She’s top scored in our league with 19 goals ⚽️, along with her pace and finishing Beth is also a capable centre half when it’s been required.

Players player: Arguably the marquee award for footballers, it’s their fellow players that have made this decision. We had 8 nominations which is testimony to the strength and depth of the squad and how much they recognise the qualities in one another.
Our nominees: Tilly Williams, Olivia Knight, Lois Hichens , Lacey Johnson, Beth Thomas, Chelsey Pawlyn, Beth Po***ck, Aalayah Young.
The players voted Chelsey as their Players player, congratulations Chelsey 👏

We also recognised the players that contributed to our success this season and awarded the additional medals 🥇 that weren’t available on the evening of the league cup final. Congratulations to Poppy, Ella, Molly, Georgia and Isla

We wanted the girls to have something a little special to recognise their league and league cup success so R & R Facias kindly sponsored the additional medals along with a boxed medal 🥇 for each player.

The ladies section are extremely grateful to our committee members and all those that have worked so hard at the club to make this season so so special for the players. To our sponsors:

Luke Maude Building Contractor
& R Facias
Cornwall Elite Cladding Ltd
T Wealth Management
D.A. Giles Limited
Fitness Collective

Thank you for your support and generosity it’s enabled the players to look and feel a million dollars.

This concludes our 25/26 campaign, we’ve secured promotion and have promoted our club and what we can offer to players who wish to be a part of a journey. We wish to strive for regional football and we want the girls to recognise and enjoy that process. It’s always about the Journey and not the Destination. 🖤💛

We’ll soon be advertising our pre season plans as we begin secure our friendly fixtures, tournaments and our collaboration with the Porthleven Fitness collective to help benefit the players who wish to be a part of this exciting journey.

Good evening, we’re delighted to announce the Ladies were successful in their league cup clash with league runners up Charlestown.

St. Agnes Football club hosted us at Enys Parc.

Initially when the game started you could sense a degree of nerves and tension amongst our young squad as the minutes ticked by the group began to grow into the fixture and we slowly started to dominate large spells of possession.

Beth Po***ck broke the dead lock and scored the first of our 6 goals on the night. Quickly Charlestown equalised with a well worked move down the right wing for the cross to neatly slotted away to make it 1-1 !!

The wind 💨 was a big factor and we knew the first half was more about trying to absorb pressure and try to minimise their attacks.

Chelsey Pawlyn neatly slotted away a well placed free kick for us to take the lead midway through the first half. Lois Hichens added to the first half tally to take us into half time 3-1 up.

Porthleven now had the wind as an ally and the girls used it to their full advantage keeping Charlestown pinned in to their own half for large parts of the second half . We kept creating good chances and Aalayah Young got her just rewards with an excellent finish.

Chelsey had a near copy n paste goal except this was in open play, she struck a sweet long range shot which enabled the girls to truly relax and enjoy the game.

Since Taiya - Mai has joined she’s worked on her composure in front of goal and like the entire squad she capped a fine performance with a well deserved goal.

It was impossible to single out one performance so the squad deserved to be POTM.

Final Score :

Charlestown 1 Porthleven 6

Beth Po***ck ⚽️
Chelsey Pawlyn ⚽️⚽️
Lois Hichens ⚽️
Aalayah Young ⚽️
Taiya - Mai Catterall ⚽️

In our first season as a re-formed Ladies team we’ve managed to complete the season unbeaten and have achieved the league and league cup double 🏆 🏆.

We’re so grateful to lots of people and local businesses who have supported us and help make the players look the part. This includes:

Luke Maude Building Contractors
Cornwall Elite Cladding
R & R Facias
W.T Wealth Management
D & A Giles Groundworks
Porthleven Fitness Collective.

We now take a short but well deserved break and the players and community look forward to June 06 for the club’s presentation evening.

Good morning all, it’s cup final day for our ladies this evening! Tonight we conclude our 25/26 campaign with the divisional league cup final.

It’s fitting that we share the final with Charlestown who have finished as league runners up and have secured promotion, Congratulations to Chris, Mark and the players.

Historically we’ve had some fantastic exciting fixtures with Charlestown and we hope this evening is no different. Regardless of the result this season has been a fantastic success and everyone who’s associated with the club should be proud of what’s been achieved.

We’ll be hosted by St Agnes football club at Enys Parc, it’s a 18.30 KO and we’d appreciate as much support as possible for our final push of this campaign.

🖤💛 🏆 🙏
