πββοΈ FIVE EVENTS. ONE DAY. FIRST PENTATHLON! πββοΈ
A huge well done to April Winfield and Theodore Smith, who took on their first ever pentathlon Tonbridge Athletic Club last weekend! ππ
The two had a fantastic day out, collecting PBs along the way and putting together some brilliant performances across all five events! π
And somehow, they both came away with 9th place overall! April finished 9th out of 24 girls with 1,988 points, while Theo finished 9th out of 23 boys with 1,607 points.
A brilliant first experience of combined events for them both, and a big thank you to all the friendly officials and everyone involved in putting on such a great competition!
Well done April & Theo! ππ

After 5 VERY successful years at Dacorum AC, we say goodbye to Isabella Turner, who is heading across the pond to continue their athletics journey at Rutgers University in New Jersey, USA! πΊπΈ Rutgers Track & Field
Rutgers Pole Vault
What a five years it has been! ππ
Isabella's pole vault journey with DAC has seen their PB rise from 2.50m in the EYAL all the way to a huge 4.11m at the 2025 UK Indoor Championships being coached along the way by Andy Jackson.
πΈ Pictured above is Isabella at their first English Schools Championships back in 2022. They went on to qualify for English Schools every year since, winning an incredible four titles along the way! ππππ
They have also earned an England vest at the SIAB International, before going on to represent Great Britain at both the European U18 and U20 Championships. π¬π§
A storied and hugely successful career already, and one we know is only just getting started. Now it's time for the next chapter in New Jersey, hopefully with plenty more wins and even bigger jumps to come! π
Isabella, everyone at Dacorum wishes you the very best of luck at Rutgers. We hope to see you back at the track soon!
Once DAC, always DAC. ππ

ππ SAL 2026 β WHAT A SEASON! ππ
What a way to finish! π₯
Going into the final match we knew exactly what was at stake, and in an incredibly close battle at the top, we gave absolutely everything.
π₯ Cambridge & Coleridge β 282
π₯ Cambridge Harriers β 276
π₯ Dacorum β 262
4οΈβ£ Southwark β 235
5οΈβ£ Harlow β 148
6οΈβ£ Watford β 137
It means we finish 3rd in the league, narrowly missing out on promotion to Division 1.
But what a season we've had! New age groups, ridiculously hot matches and plenty of gaps to fill, yet people stepped up time and time again, often taking on completely new events just to score points for the team.
π WOMEN'S ATHLETES OF THE MATCH
β Phoebe Peacock β stepping outside her comfort zone to make her 1500m steeplechase debut and pick up valuable points.
β Isabella Spice β stepping up to race the 400m hurdles over a distance she'd never competed at before, again bringing home important points.
β Anna Dalgas β for always being willing to take on the steeplechase and consistently delivering maximum points for the team.
π MEN'S SEASON AWARDS
βMAN OF THE SEASON β HAYDAN LONDON
Haydan has given 100% every time he's stepped onto the track, including in some unexpected events! π But it's what he's done away from his own events that really earned this award. His encouragement, energy and ability to inspire others to push that little bit harder has been incredible.
PERFORMANCE OF THE SEASON β SHAUN WALL
Shaun finished last season unsure whether his body would allow him to compete this year. Instead, he's come back and produced some phenomenal performances across all the throwing events, picking up huge points along the way.
Thank you to every athlete, coach, official, volunteer and supporter
who has been part of another fantastic SAL season.
What a team! ππ

Tomorrow is the day. ππ
After four years of fighting, one final match.
Our Southern Athletics League team has worked incredibly hard all season to put themselves in a position where promotion is in our own hands. One more team performance. One more opportunity.
Every point counts. Every cheer from the sidelines helps. Every athlete representing Dacorum AC will be giving everything they've got, whether they're on the track, in the field, or handing over the baton.
If you're free tomorrow, come down to Jarman Park and get behind the team. Your support could make all the difference!
