Welcome to Herts Roller Derby! What is Roller Derby? Roller derby is a fast-paced, full-contact sport played on quad roller-skates.
Two teams of five skate together around an oval track. A point scorer ("jammer") from each team attempts to continually lap the opposing players, scoring a point for each one she passes. Originally played in the US in the 1920s, the sport has seen a huge revival in the past decade, arriving in the UK in 2006. Roller derby is traditionally a female sport, although male and co-ed leagues are emergin
