On the eve of More Sparks - It's An Old Skool Smash Up, it is very much worth noting that the origins of the meeting centred on the late Jon Sparks, who raced across four decades, most notably at Newton Abbot before the track's closure in 1994, and Smeatharpe. This year's More Sparks fixture will be held at Smeatharpe Stadium on Saturday 5 September.
