🥊 DEVELOPMENT CHAMPIONSHIPS – SEMI-FINAL 🥊

Today we had Sam back in action in the Development Championships semi-final, facing another tough, hard-hitting opponent from Sheffield.

Once again, Sam put on an outstanding performance. 👏🏻 We genuinely felt he had done enough to get his hand raised, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be, with Sam falling short on another split decision.

Despite the result, there are so many positives to take. The fitness, work rate and consistency Sam has shown were there for everyone to see today. He boxed brilliantly from start to finish and never stopped working.

As coaches, we couldn’t be prouder. ❤️ The consistency in training doesn’t go unnoticed, and the improvements Sam is making every time he steps through those ropes are clear to see.

Sometimes the decisions don’t go your way, but performances like this show exactly why you keep turning up, keep working and keep believing.

Head up Sam — you should be proud of yourself. This is far from the end. 💪🏻🥊

Last night we travelled over to Doncaster with two of our boxers stepping through the ropes and representing BoxPower with pride. 🥊

First up was Cameron in his U57kg Yorkshire Title belt bout. Unfortunately, Cameron came up short on a split decision against a very talented opponent. It was a close contest and, from our side, we felt Cam had done enough to get the win, but it just wasn’t meant to be on this occasion.

What was clear to see was the huge improvement in Cameron’s boxing. The hard work put in over the summer with his fitness and strength & conditioning has made a massive difference, and he showed great skill, determination and heart right up until the final bell. Plenty to be proud of and plenty more to come. Well done, mate. 👏

Next up was Adam, who was having his first bout in around 10 months. Last night was about shaking off some ring rust and getting back into competition. Adam was matched with a very tough opponent and unfortunately came away with a loss, but there were lots of positives and valuable lessons to take from the bout.

That’s boxing – you learn, improve and move forward. Keep your head up, Adam, and onto the next one. 👊

Last night we travelled over to Doncaster with two of our boxers stepping through the ropes and representing BoxPower with pride. 🥊
