Joe Stacey is retained for a second season at Emley AFC!

Joe joined the club last summer and made a significant contribution to our attacking play, providing numerous assists and helping boost our goal tally throughout the campaign.

His impact hasn’t been limited to the pitch either, with Joe earning the Supporters’ Player of the Season award in recognition of his performances and commitment.

Aaron joins Emley AFC after establishing himself as a key player at Whitby Town, where his versatility, work rate and quality made him a standout performer in the Northern Premier League. Comfortable in a variety of positions across midfield and attack.

A former York City and Harrogate Town youth player, he brings valuable Step 3 experience, energy and adaptability to the squad ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Welcome to Emley - Diego De Girolamo 👋

Diego De Girolamo joins Emley AFC with a wealth of experience from both the Football League and the upper levels of non-league football.

From starting his career at Sheffield United’s academy, Diego went on to play for clubs including Bristol City, York City, Northampton Town, Cheltenham Town and Chesterfield, while also representing Italy at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level.

He enjoyed a hugely successful seven-year spell with Buxton, scoring more than 120 goals and helping the club to promotion, before spells with Macclesfield and Matlock Town. A proven goalscorer with quality and experience, Diego adds real firepower to the Pewits squad.
