We often see great self development on the hill during the expedition, but we see the real achievement in the evening watching the interaction between participants cooking their own food, chilling out around the tents, making their own entertainment, talking, swapping stories.

We are very pleased to report that our AALA licence has been renewed once again.
For those that don't know the process, the inspection includes the following.

Submitting all policies and procedures with risk assessments for review.
Teams meeting with company Director and Instructor for a couple of hours discussing submitted paperwork.
Implementation of suggested improvements.
Further Teams meeting to discuss said implementations.
Checking of all staff who work for us have the correct qualifications for the activities they do.
A site visit where the inspector visits an event to check what we say we do - we do, at this event the inspector will check paperwork, event briefing, chat to several of the Instructor team.
A further Teams meeting to discuss findings.
Final tweaks to P&Ps.
And then the final email to say. WELL DONE, you are good to go till the next one..
And then the Director can now sleep without the extra worry.

Aaannnddd, that's a wrap, although we have done a few in-school training sessions this year, we have just finished some Silver and Gold on-hill training in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, missing both Storm Dave (or Rodney) and the rain that only made it as far as Gargrave.

Fantastic day yesterday supporting members of team Sky Bet Sky Betting & Gaming , Flutter Entertainment undertaking the challenge.
we had most of the Yorkshire weathers, sunshine, mist. heavy rain, with a bit of light rain thrown in.
Despite this, every one completed the challenge within 12 hrs raising thousands £s for the Cancer Charity UK.
superb effort, well done to all.
Special shout out of respect to one chap, a viking reenactor who wore a chainmail top weighing in at over 10kg..
Not to mention, a little added generosity, the SkyBet support team donated all the spare unused refreshments to my local rescue team Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team , thank you.. 😊
