Today is World Su***de Prevention Day. đź’›
A conversation, a kind word, or simply checking in on someone can make more of a difference than we realise.
Let's take a moment to remind our friends, family, colleagues, and community that they are not alone. If you're struggling, please know that support is available and reaching out is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Together, we can help create a world where everyone feels heard, valued, and supported.
WORLD SU***DE PREVENTION DAY
Today, on World Su***de Prevention Day, we’re reminded that a conversation can change everything.
Sometimes, the person who looks like they’re doing okay is the person struggling the most.
Sometimes a simple “How are you?” can be the opening someone needs to talk. If you’re not satisfied with the first answer someone gives you, ask again.
At 8;56, we believe that no one should feel like they have to face things alone.
We create spaces where men can talk, connect, be heard and support one another - without judgement and without having to pretend that everything is okay.
You don’t need the perfect words.
You don’t need to have all the answers.
Sometimes, simply being there and listening is enough.
Check in on your mates.
Start the conversation.
Listen without judgement.
Keep showing up.
And if you’re struggling yourself, please remember; you matter, your life matters, and you don’t have to carry everything on your own.
Let’s keep talking.
Let’s keep checking in.
Let’s keep each other here.
