Hedon Rangers academy VS Kingswood united

It was a very tough afternoon for the lads on a very sunny Saturday. The boys started the game well and matched Kingswood for the first 15-20 but Kingswood got on the front foot and scored in the opening 30 minutes of the game. After Kingswood got there first goal Hedon had a few chances at goal and made Kingswood keeper work and make some saves. But it just wasn’t enough as Kingswood went on to score another 8 goals throughout the game and it was just to much for Hedon. We go again on the 28th ❤️💙

As Hedon come off a very good result in the first game of the season. We take on a new side who Hedon have never come across before they are new into our league this season and they have a few talented players so going to be a tester this Saturday but hopefully the boys can get another victory to start our season off right. Kingswood are coming to us from a 10-3 win against East Yorkshire united which will give them momentum coming to eastside but the boys won’t let that get in their heads and will give everything for the 3 points.

Hedon Rangers Academy VS Brandesburton academy AFC

After match day 1 in the league we take home all 3 points as we start on a high. The boys were brilliant today and everyone was up for it. 1st half sees us go 2-0 up till HT. Straight into Second half we go as a few changes are made at half time from the manager. We keep the momentum going till the final whistle and get 4 more goals in the 2nd half. Hedon lose the ball in the midfield and Brandesburton striker picks up from just past half way line and has a go and the ball sails over the keepers head and scores but as a consolation goal. But we didn’t let that bother us and we kept going and the Boys scored 2 more goals after that unfortunate error in the midfield that led to a Brandesburton goal. Brandesburton where playing with 9 men nearly the full second half due to injuries and unfortunately had bare 11. Hopefully the boys can keep the graft and continue getting wins to seek promotion or top 5 this season.

Hedon Rangers Academy VS Brandesburton AFC Academy

WE ARE BACK⚽️

As we take on a team who finished 11th last season and hoping to give them a good test. First league game is approaching and all the boys are up for it. Hedon have a very strong squad to test Brandesburton and hoping to come away with a win in our first league game at home. It was a very thrilling encounter last season as we drew 4-4 on a very wet and windy Saturday. We are hoping to take all 3 points this time.

Hedon Rangers Academy VS Robin AFC

After a very tough afternoon Hedon come away with another loss and this time it’s a heavy 5-0. We had bare 11 and give everything all game but we just couldn’t get a goal or anything out of the game. Robin started on top and got 2 goals to lead them into half time 2-0 up. They travelled with a populated squad so it was a fresh legged team in the 2nd half and they got another 3 goals in the second half. We just wasn’t on it today and wish Robin good luck for rest of season ❤️💙.

Hedon take on a side that was a very entertaining match in the league last season. Robin have got a good side out to travel to Hedon. Hedon are going to have to give everything for the pre season win and we are back on home ground soil so this weekend so we hope to give Robin a good game and hopefully get that vital win.

Bridlington Rovers Pandas VS Hedon rangers academy

After a very slow start to the game we come away with another unlucky 3-2 loss. Hedon started the game very slow and on the back foot quite a few times and didn’t really test there keeper at all in the 1st half. Hedon gave a silly foul to Bridlington about 20 minutes into the game which made us go 1-0 down from a free kick that nestled right into the bottom left corner. Bridlington attacking Down the left flank they put the ball in and there striker gets onto it and slots it into the back of the net to make us go 2-0 down. Just before HT our midfielder drives towards the goal and takes a shot on goal it gets deflected and ends up in the back of there net. We go into the break 2-1 down. 2nd half Hedon kept pushing for the equaliser and we got it the same scorer as the first slots the ball into the top right corner from a very tight angle. Both teams looking for a winner with only 10 minutes to go Bridlington kept pushing but Hedon’s keeper made some good saves to keep it 2-2. 10 minutes before the full time whistle the ball comes over the top of Hedon’s defence and the ball bounces over the goalkeepers head which makes it 3-2 to Bridlington. This is another game we should have won or drew but we keep pushing for that vital win in pre season onto Robin AFC next weekend.

Bridlington rovers pandas VS Hedon Rangers Academy

As we shrug of an unlucky mid week loss we move onto our 3rd pre season fixture on Saturday as we vs Bridlington who are a league above us. Going to be a long trip to the seaside so hopefully the boys can bring the win home with them and celebrate there first pre season win. Going to be a very tough game but the lads have it in them. We have a very good squad for tomorrow so we are backing the boys all the way.

Easington United AFC vs Hedon Rangers Academy

After a very frustrating evening last night we come away with another loss. The lads went a goal down in the first 25 minutes. Easington settled a bit after there goal. They settled to much as our midfielder plays the ball through to our striker to score to make it 1-1. Then just before HT Easington got a goal to take them into the break 2-1 up. 2nd half the lads didn’t see much of the ball only having 3 or 2 chances on goal. Easington played well from the back and kept the ball most of 2nd half. 5 minutes before full time easington’s winger crosses the ball in and it come’s off our defender unfortunately and roll’s into the back of the net which made it 3-1. The lads give there all but wasn’t enough we go again on the weekend.

As we put our first pre season defeat behind us it’s a quick turnaround as the boys travel to play Easington United 3rds. Easington have moved up a league this season into our league division 3. So we will give them a good game and hopefully an entertaining game.

After yesterdays clash with skirlaugh In a friendly game. Skirlaugh come out on top with a 3-2 win. Hedon were down 3-0 down at the break and stole 2 goals in the second half but it wasn’t enough as skirlaugh got the victory. We move onto our mid week game against Easington United AFC on Wednesday.
