🔥🔥P10!! What a way to end the weekend for our comeback kid Eugene Mcmanus !!

After his P12 yesterday, he and Rhys Irwin finished today’s short 12-lapper p17 and p18 respectively – but they both saved their best until the last race of the day.

From starting p16 on the grid, Eugene powered through and picked off rivals lap after lap to storm home in an impressive 10th place!

And there were more points in the bag for the squad as Rhys brought his machine home p14.

In Superstock, Daniel Brooks also finished p14 to pick up a couple more points – our full report will follow but for now, we’re celebrating a solid weekend for the whole team and we’re already excitedly looking forward to Cadwell Park in a fortnight.

🔥🔥So how’s about that for a comeback?

A fortnight ago he was sidelined with injury and today Eugene Mcmanus brings her home P12!

It’s a fantastic result from a P20 start and he’s feeling really strong on the bike, so today’s result bodes well ahead of tomorrow.

Rhys Irwin had a bit of a tougher one today, crossing the line P19 but tomorrow’s a new day and Rhys is a fighter, so he’ll be going all out to make amends and try and get two strong results.

The boys are out for warm-up at 10.50am tomorrow (after an early Pit Walk from 9.15am) and will line up for the first race of the day at 1.20pm followed by the final one of the weekend at 4.15pm.

After his foray onto the Superbike at Oulton, Daniel Brooks is back on the Stocker this weekend and with only one race here at Thruxton, it’s one of those rounds where there’s a lot of time sitting about/causing trouble – although not for his crew, who have been busy on the bike all day getting ready for the session.

He’s had to wait until everything else has finished today for Qualifying, but it’s all done and he’ll line up p15 on the grid for tomorrow’s race.

Naturally he was hoping to qualify a little higher but as a Sunday man, he’s looking forward to getting stuck in tomorrow when he plans to dig deep and climb as high up the order as he can.

After hitting the track last today, his race is the first one tomorrow and kicks-off at noon for what we’re sure will be an exciting 15 laps.

He’s had to wait around all day - but finally gets to head out for Superstock Qualifying.

🔥Round Seven is underway and in true Thruxton style, it’s Hot Hot Hot!!

We’re thrilled to welcome Eugene Mcmanus back to action this weekend, it’s the first time our rookies have seen Thruxton on the Superbikes and they’ve both done a really good job on track today.

Eugene certainly seems to be back to his best, knocking almost a second off his time over the course of all three sessions – ending Pre-Qualifying in p14 with a best lap time of 1min 15.641secs.

Rhys Irwin had his strongest session in FP2 where he ended p13 with his best lap of the day, a 1min 16.075s. He wasn’t able to better it in Pre Qualifying but he knows which direction he needs to go tomorrow.

Both will be back out in the morning for final practice at 11.10am before hitting the track for Qualifying at 1.20pm, with the first race of the weekend due to begin at 4.15pm.

What. A. Day!

From the lows of both riders crashing out in the first race to the highs of two strong finishes and more points in the second, we’ve had it all!

Both Rhys Irwin and Daniel Brooks had offs early in the opening race of the day and the team worked flat out to get everything sorted out and back together to allow them to both line up for the final British Superbike Championship race.

Rhys had a really good battle, storming through from p19 and crossing the line p13 to add to his ever-growing points collection, as our rookie-rookie Dan claimed a very respectable p17.

Full report to follow – but we leave Oulton feeling happy with all the progress made and everyone is fired-up ahead of Thruxton in a fortnight. 🔥
