Scything season is officially underway! 🌸🌿
Our fantastic Grass Reapers and rakers have kicked off the season at Tip Top Meadow on Aylestone Meadows, helping to manage this area using traditional scythes.
Scything is a low impact way to manage meadows. By cutting and removing the grass after wildflowers have set seed, it gives them the best chance to flourish year after year while creating a richer habitat for pollinators and other wildlife. 🐝🦋
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped get the season off to such a great start! 💚
