We have been made aware that Cheshire Riding School have a confirmed case of Strangles and whilst we are consulting with our vets on best practice we will be locking down our yard for the next 24 hours until we have a clearer understanding of the impact this may have on us given our close proximity to Cheshire Riding School.

Please do not enter our yard unless you are livery client.

We will of course update on our status as soon as we have a clear understanding of the protocols and measures we need to put into place to ensure that our horses are safe.

WE DO NOT HAVE STRANGLES ON OUR YARD - WE ARE TAKING THESE MEASURES TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR HORSES.

Dear clients, visitors, and neighboring equestrians, we are writing to inform you that we currently have a confirmed case of strangles on our livery yard. The affected horse is in strict isolation and being managed under veterinary guidance. We are sharing this information promptly to ensure absolute transparency.

Our traffic light biosecurity system is now in place:

🟢 RIDING SCHOOL OPEN: Our riding school horses remain healthy, are separate from the affected horse will continue to be monitored. Riding school clients and visitors must stay within the designated Green Zone: riding school stables, main yard and arenas.

🔴 RESTRICTED ACCESS: The livery yard and isolation areas are strictly off limits to riding school clients and public visitors. The affected horse is in a separate Red Zone with dedicated handling procedures.

Under veterinary advice, no horses may move on or off the yard, including for hacking, transport or external arena hire, until further notice.

All clients and visitors must:
- Use the yellow foot dip trays on arrival and departure.
- Use the hand sanitiser provided in reception, the tack room and toilet after touching horses.
- Only touch the horse you are allocated to ride on that day.

We still have a few spaces for our first of the Winter League Dressage events on Sunday 27 September, particularly in the Novice and Elementary classes!

It’s quick and easy to enter and with a laid back and relaxed environment it’s a great event to practice at throughout the winter months!

We’ve also included a Pick your own Test for Bitless competitors - the more entries we have the more we can consider running a full Bitless League alongside the BD rules league!

📣 BREAKING NEWS! 📣

We have a few updates to bring you regarding our Winter Dressage League and the first one is……

We are really excited to let you all know that we have included a class for Bitless Riders in our Winter League Dressage Series starting on Sunday 27 September!

Designed to be relaxed, friendly and informal, our league is suitable for all ages and abilities, with tests from Walk & Trot through to Elementary, all held in our 20x40m Indoor Arena and judged by a BD registered judge.

✨ Come as you are comfortable – no need to plait or dress up! All we ask is for well-fitting tack and appropriate riding wear.

⚠️ We have included an Intro 1 Class for LR, novice/first time out combinations in both the Junior (U16) and Open sections. Please only enter these classes if you genuinely have a child on the LR/have a very novice horse etc as we would like to ensure that this category is genuinely for those that need a bit of support and not being too strict 🙏

🏆 The league runs throughout the winter, culminating in our Championship Show on 21 March 2027.

⏰ IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE:
The time shown when you make your booking is NOT your final competition time. Final times for the 27 September show will be published on Friday 25 September, once entries have closed and the running order has been arranged.

Whether you’re having your first go at dressage, bringing out a young or inexperienced horse, or looking for a friendly winter competition series, we’d love to see you!
