📍 North Liverpool, Bootle F.C. - Mondays, 4:30-5:30pm

📍 South Liverpool, Wyncote Sports Ground - Thursdays, 4:30-5:30pm

📍 Bamber Bridge, Bamber Bridge Leisure Centre - Mondays, 4:00-5:00pm

Signing for LFC - in conversation 💭✍️

Yusuf, our goalkeeper coach and former LFC academy goalkeeper met with Hayden who has recently signed a professional contract with the club. 🤩

A special mention to Yusuf for not only developing Hayden as a keeper but also stepping up and developing his own interviewing technique 🙌

From SGA to Liverpool FC. A first for Steven Gerrard Academy. 🔴🧤

After two unforgettable years with us, Hayden Smith has signed his first professional contract with Liverpool Football Club.

He won it all with SGA, lifted the Mayor’s Cup and represented the Academy on the international stage at the Dallas Cup. Behind those moments were countless hours of hard work, dedication and development alongside our goalkeeper coach, Yusuf Mersin.

Now, he takes his next step into professional football.

Hayden, we’ve loved being part of your journey, everyone at SGA is incredibly proud of you. The hard work starts now.

A historic day for Steven Gerrard Academy.

Today, we welcomed Labour’s Deputy Leader and Secretary of State for Education, Lucy Powell MP, alongside Cllr Graham Morgan, Leader of Knowsley Council, to Steven Gerrard Academy.

Steven led a tour of the grounds, showcasing our programmes in action - from our young NextGen players and girls’ programme to our elite and international groups.

Our guests also joined a live Football Media lesson, watching Steven being interviewed first-hand on our unique programme with our education partners, Access Sports College.

Commenting on the visit, Steven said: “For many young people, football is the thing that motivates them to engage with education. We use that passion as a starting point, but our ambition is much bigger - we want to help students discover where their talents can take them and prepare them for careers across the football and sports industries.”

A proud day for our players, students and staff, celebrating the opportunities we’re creating through football and education.
