Whether you fancy your chances of taking Steven "The Ranger" Rigby's crown - or just want an excuse to get out of the house on a Thursday evening through the winter - this is the place for you!

Sefton Women were bowled out 70 at Hightown (Sarah Jackson 20); Amy Kennedy took 3-11 but the hosts were already almost home by that point.

A great game at the resurrected Torr Park ground. Youngsters Dan Cuthbert (77), Ben Lester (59*) and Sarhad Rustom (39) took Sefton Sunday AWXI to 226-3d from 36 overs. Sefton seemed on top as South Liverpool fell to 111-6 but they got to 210-8; skipper Alex Woods stepped up to bowl South out for 221, finishing with figures of 4-18, as Sefton won by 5 runs to move away from the relegation places.

Sefton Sunday RBXI struggled to 122 all out against Bootle at Croxteth Drive; opener Ed Carrington making 39 and Abhishek Salibindra 29. Jack Hoban took two early wickets to reduce the visitors to 14-3 and Billy Gartside took three as Bootle slipped to 98-6 but they ultimately won by four wickets.

With seven games remaining, Sefton sit seventh in the table and today travel to North Wales to play fourth-placed Northop Hall. James Hurlin (8-48 and 48*) did for Sefton in the league game earlier in the season. Noon start at Smithy Lane; "last hour" from 5.45pm.

Sefton 2XI host Newton-le-Willows at Croxteth Drive looking for a third win in four games which could move them up to fifth in the table. 12.45pm start for Tom Rushton's men; "last hour" called at 5.30pm.

Sefton 3XI play New Brighton on the lower ground looking tonturn a corner after a run of defeats whilst Tim Yates will be hpping Sefton 4XI's promotion push continues against Wavertree 4XI at Liverpool College.

Another tense finish for Sefton U18 on Monday as they squeaked past Bootle's 133-4 (Sarhad Rustom 2-11) with one wicket and five balls to spare. Sefton had looked to be cruising at 75-2 and 121-5 thanks to Sarhad's 32 and Tom Spilsbury's 24 but a late collapse meant it needed the last pair to get over the line.

A new look Sefton U11 Red side lost to an more experienced Liverpool side by 56 runs but only after Nathaniel Donnelly had put the cat amongst the pigeons by taking wickets with the first two balls of the game.

Heavy rain caused the abandonment of Sefton Women's game at Liverpool on Tuesday.

Umer Mohammed took 2-8 and Francis Roberts 2-18 as Sefton U13 restricted Oxton to 96-7 on Thursday evening. Sefton slipped to 32-4 in response before Muhammad Baloch (32 retired) and Rai Salik Ahmad (25*) took Sefton to a six wicket win with almost six overs to spare.
