The West Lancashire Golf Club was founded in 1873 and is among the ten oldest golf clubs in England.
It boasts one of the most natural and testing links in the British Isles, of which Donald Steel wrote "Only in Britain can one savour the true flavour of seaside golf, of which West Lancashire is a perfect example"

Just 1 month until the Amateur Championship returns to West Lancashire for the first time since 2009, when we co-hosted with Formby.
We can't wait to welcome the world's best amateurs next month when we partner with Royal Liverpool.

Our 7th hole is a great risk-reward par 4, and winter works have made it better.
A new fairway bunker up the left now challenges those laying up, while extended and softened green surrounds give players more creative shot-making options.

On Monday we welcomed the Rose Ladies Series for their season opener, with Laura Fuenfstück taking the win in a playoff.
We now look ahead to The Amateur Championship and Final Qualifying in June to continue our championship season.
