A bat was never just a piece of equipment for me.

I knew how I wanted it to feel in my hands, down to the smallest detail. So I’d often bring out my carpentry kit and work on it myself, shaping and adjusting it until it felt right.

I suppose that’s why I remember those little moments so fondly. They were never really about the bat. They were about making it my own.

Our league season has come to an end, and we finished 5th out of 12 teams. 👏🏏

Considering where we started and everything we went through as a team, this is something we should be proud of. We showed fight, commitment, unity and character throughout the season. Especially after 4 straight losses in first 4 game we came back so strong, we only lost once since than.

A big thank you to every player who turned up, supported the team and gave their best. Every contribution has played a part in building London Kings.

We also want to build London Kings around a full yearly event calendar — not just league cricket, but tournaments, training sessions, social events, family gatherings and activities that bring our members together throughout the year. Our aim is to create a club where everyone feels involved, supported and valued.

Next season, our target is higher. We want to come back stronger, fitter and more united, and push for the top.

Most importantly, remember what London Kings stands for: lifting people up, supporting each other and growing together. The results matter, but the family and culture we build will always matter more.

As a club, we have a responsibility beyond cricket. Our duty is to lift people up, support one another, open doors for those coming behind us, and help people rise in life. If we can use the platform we have to inspire, support and make a positive difference in someone’s journey.
