Hannah qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 and went on to work in the community setting with a broad range of clients. Since having 3 children (and realising the toll that can take on the body!) she has developed a passion for Pilates as a way to improve posture, stability and strength and restore normal movement naturally. I can hardly believe it’s 10 years since I began my Pilates business!! I had no idea how it would turn out, was it a financial risk worth taking? Would self employment actually give me the family life balance I was looking for? I am SO grateful that it has been a strong yes all round!
Over the years, I have developed a huge passion for working with those age 50+ and especially those with health challenges to face; as well as people who have always been a bit scared of exercise- it is SO rewarding!
The oldest member of the HSF community is currently 86- exercising twice a week with me to maintain posture, strength and flexibility. Awesome!

“Doesn’t distance running damage your knees?”. I’m often asked that. “You’ll wear yourself out and need a knee replacement by 50”. That’s been said too!

I always say to clients who ask… once a week is a good habit, twice a week is a great habit!
Lots of helpful advice in this article. This week I will work with people in their 20’s right through to someone who is 86! Pilates is such an adaptable and safe form of exercise, whatever you’re starting point!
