Our last week of Summer Camps is coming right up! We are excited for one last week of hard work and fun! 🙌

Just a reminder that our gate is currently not working BUT that doesn’t mean we aren’t able to work on our technique with other tasks! So don’t you worry, there will still be loads of work to do in both camps.

Molly is one of our toughest riders, she’s been rocking it at a National level this year and bagging some medals every round in the ‘Female 7’ category! 🏆

‘Molly has Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) which means she has to use supplementary oxygen at racing. She spent over 6 months in hospital when she was younger, which makes her achievements in BMX, even more impressive - a lap for her is like 5 for a normal racer, and we’re super proud of her!’ - quote from her parents ✨

We wish her the best of luck in Rnd 8 of the tomorrow 👏

Also, shoutout to our Merton coaches &

Elis’ progress in the past three weeks has been mind blowing! 🤯

Never complains about whichever task we’re working on and always gives his 100%

It’s all about the intention you’re coming with every time you’re riding your bike. Giving whatever 100% looks like that day, is what’s going to help your body and brain adapt to becoming faster, stronger and more skilful 🙌

Well done Elis 👏

It is with immense sadness that I have to share the devastating news that our wonderful Gates coach, Craig Mufundisi, passed away over the weekend.

We are all completely heartbroken. Craig was a truly special person who was loved by everyone who knew him. He always radiated positivity and humour.

Craig was the longest-serving member of the Club, having been part of Merton Saints since the track was founded. He was a hugely talented rider, and we have many happy memories of him riding and our road trips to races. Our Gates sessions will never be the same without him.

I have known Craig for over ten years, since Imogen first started BMX at just six years old. He always looked out for her, and for all the riders at the Club. Watching the impact he had on so many riders and families over the years has been incredible. He was only 24 years old.

As many of you know, Craig suffered severe burns in a fire at his flat just before Christmas. Although he faced a long recovery, he had been doing well, and it was wonderful to see him back with everyone again at the Regional we hosted two weeks ago. He was so happy to see everyone again. This news has therefore come as a complete and sudden shock to us all.

We are all going to miss him terribly. Our thoughts are with Craig’s family and everyone who loved him at this incredibly difficult time.

Please do share your pictures and stories of Craig, we would all love to see and hear these, and I can share them with his family.
